    Firstly the Mech was intended as a harassing brawler with the capability to take on a Mech and suppress it fairly efficiently and it can maneuver into flanking positions. As it will be build heat level fairly quickly - Balder quickly needed to have an exit option so it needed speed. The result is as follows:

    Strengths of the Build: High sustained DPS over short time frames, Insane Speed and able to be efficient while taking advantage of the terrain and still bringing majority of its arsenal into combat effect. Also high speed to maneuver into position and engage the enemy from flanks etc.

    Weakness of the Build: It has low armor value so it cannot be put under pressure for a sustained time frame. As it is not intended to operate within a group rather a support element capitalizing on speed and never committing it lacks a LRM defense, relying primarily on terrain and speed to defend against assaults and LRM boats.

    Strategy:
    Never commit to a fight, you rather not fight for prolonged engagements with same Mech alone unless a light or weaker arsenal Mech. You engage the enemy locked into one of your team mates if operating near the main body of your team, if not generally in a pack preferably flank around the enemy and engage them from behind. Or use the terrain to get in and tie up and destroy their LRM boats & scouts, if doing so have a plan to egress away from the LRM boats which will not expose you from prolonged fights.

    Note(s):
    Weak Armor, Right and Left Torso critical locations that tend to get blown of quick hence maximized armor there to minimize the weakness. shaved of some armor on left arm.Never stand still! DPS is high, alpha is not, so chain fire your streaks for longer engagements ideally.

    Where do you get the XL340 from? The list tops at XL280 for me.

    The CN9-D Variant can have a larger engine than the others, making him a medium with the speed of a light mech :D
    The engine can go up to 390, giving him a whopping 126,4 kph.

    Sadly such big engines weight so much that it negates the medium's tonnage advantage.
    But with an XL300-340 it is still very fast and can wield more armor and weapons than most lights...
