Come one come all! Welcome to my first build posted here on Mechspecs! I wanted to share this build with you guys, as it personally works for me very well (even though its the only mech I have tried out). This build works for me personally, and many of you might not like it mainly because it is too slow for your liking, but I will explain this later. Anyways, here it is! http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=7&l=71ee251f8dfe80bc6d84664d7b6e797f18c74aa7 So yes, I know, this thing runs slow and a little hot. But hear me out on this guys! This thing packs a wallop with the UAC5, and you can swap that out for the AC5 if you feel like it jams too much for you. The standard is so you can zombie around after you lose your arm containing your UAC5 and just use your SRMs for taking out mechs you tore apart with it. I play this mech mainly as an assault/heavy support with lots of firepower and nearly maxed armor. I also stripped the armor off of the left arm (because lets face it that arm is useless and the extra tonnage can be used elsewhere) and I upgraded it with endo and DHS of course. You can pretty much fire your UAC5 as long as it isn't jammed, and supplement that damage with bursts from your SRMs or MedL or both. you can only alpha once or twice before having to stagger fire. Otherwise this build runs cool, and can keep up with your friends in assaults to deter those pesky lights and mediums! Note: if you drop the UAC5 and put in a normal AC5, you can add an extra DHS or another ton of SRM ammo (my personal preference). Also Note: This build is cheap. Like mega super cheap. You aren't going to have to fork out more C-Bills for another STD or XL engine, which is what makes it's appeal to me. Anyways, any nice comments or feedback would be great! have fun blowing up some fools, and happy meching!
oh look, my first loadout for the CN9-A Copy cat you can fit a STD225 in there, try again. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=7&l=d901e11ba8a102c1b88ea950aaa868c5ab1c9333
Ahh yes I see how you did it, thanks that will help me greatly even if it nerfs my heat efficiency the smallest little smudge lol
The heat efficiency loss is smaller than you might think: DHS included in the engine dissipate twice a regular HS, while external DHS only do x1.4. Then your build has a cooling efficiency of 20.2 HS (8*2+3*1.4) and Vergere's of 19.4 (9*2+1*1.4). It's only a 4% loss. The speed boost, on the other side, is 12%.
Yeah I noticed that when I did all the upgrades yesterday, and only at a very minimal cost. The extra speed is nice, and I don't see any heat problems that I did not have in my build Vs. Vergere's.
thanks for the maths.
Yes thanks indeed! I did not know it doubled only in the engine, I thought it was only 1.4x all around.
