This is an all around build for the CN9-D. This isn't a zombie build to say the least. You need tactical wit and skill to pilot this effectively. Alot of tonnage is placed in the right arm so you'll have to know how to shield. That said it's a great sniper and packs a bunch up close as well. I usually run with some Coolshots just in case I run into Caustics or Tormaline. I've never felt like I brought the wrong mech to a BG with this build.
nice I have a slightly different take on mine Bigger engine, a little less armor, and streaks to save weight LOTs more ammo though...
I like both builds; one hits harder and the other moves faster... Speed is life so I would have to go with Yash's build in the end. Myth.
With YLW on sale currently I am strongly considering giving the CNs a try. Both of these look very good.
But what's the point of a CN9-D if you mount a small engine on it? 350+ or die! With a slow engine and only one ballistic, better go for a CN9-A, you have one more missile hardpoint. @Aylek: give the centurion a try, it's a very good mech, deadly and fun to play, with each variant allowing unique gameplay. Best medium mech imho.
This is what I settled with. It's a durable bastard too for an XL. Deadly upclose with 2ML and 2Streaks. Gauss to harass from afar and core someone with an alpha to the back or headshot. No extra HS with the 250 and still fast. Try it and love it.
