I am primarily a Light Pilot. For the most part I believe that most people rely on Lights to hunt down and destroy the enemy Light 'Mechs. This is often problematic because after one engagement you are also badly damaged and possibly even ineffective. To solve this I decided that the Centurion was the best choice as a Light Hunter. I use all three of the Centurion Chassis for this and each fills a specific Role to that end.

This CN9 is designed to hunt ECM 'Mechs, exchanging the commonly used Streak Missiles with the SRM 6 + Artemis. I have found that with practice the amount of damage caused is very similar. This 'Mech's speed and firepower allow it to dish out large amounts of damage rapidly and its armor value means that it can continue to fight after more than one engagement. o_O

Why not +2 armor on arm with AC/10, -2 armor on empty arm?

Balance I guess, two points are quite meaningless as far as saving the primary weapon is concerned. It does makes sense to make the change you have pointed out...next time I give this 'mech a look at, in game, I will probably do so. I often find that I make minor changes as things go on, sometimes I look at a 'mech I haven't played in months and can't remember why I set the armor a certain way or neglected to put that extra ton of ammo in the head etc...

Thanks for pointing it out, I should probably repost this 'mech in it's current configuration anyway.

Personally, I'd opt for 2xSRM4 over ASRM6. Almost as accurate, but a bigger burst of missiles, same amount of tons.

That is a great idea skribs, when I get back to playing my Centurions I will make those changes, Two extra missiles never hurt anything except for the enemy.

    Thanks,

    Myth.

The only problem with using 2x SRM4s is, you need an additional ton for Artemis. 2 extra missiles are nice but, not that nice.

if you're going after lights, I'd suggest a LB10x for the bigger spread, unless you're a marksman with that AC10.

Quite true but AC/10 is for long-range attack, what he meant about hunting Spiders is: MLas and SRM, and the speed of Centurion9-D
