So I've upgraded my standard Rapier build, XL 335 engine, 2 MGs, 2 SRM 6's w/Art, 2ML's, 1 ton of MG ammo, 4 tons of SRM ammo. Set MGs and SRMs to group 1 and ML's to group 2. Put the reticle on the target and just hold down the fire button. Awesome fast striker build especially with the buff to MGs and SRMs. Best damage so far has been 793.
True, it's not full zombie if it's not just CT... SO what are these builds that can lose both arms? Paraplegics?
Not a true zombie, but still really effective even if you lose the arms. It amazes me sometimes how much of a beating the Cent can take and still deliver the damage. On this build the MGs are just a support weapon to crit seek, once you've cracked that armor with the SRMs. If you lose them, oh well still got the ML's in the CT.
With AMS. I took out +A. If you are that fast you can go up close and personal, that would help with your survival too. With that range you can go without +A, saves a couple tons and the spread is better against lights. Your MG needs short range to be functional anyways. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=29&l=c382b12539da64ecf851c0b30c73b852d4700ac0 Even Faster! no AMS though. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=29&l=06a09543d08b6fb750f0ad24f0244b5bcf7c7ed5
my problem is, I'm not good in shooting SRMs I only put LRMs for support -or I should try setting the SRMs as Group2
SRM's can take some practice especially when it comes to leading the target against faster mechs. In this build I set the SRMs and MGs to group 1 and just hold down the fire button. the MG's can help you aim your SRMs when circling or trying to lead targets.
the Zombie Cent CN9-A is very popular, however it just didn't have the sustained rate of fire that I liked- 3 SRM6s fired at the same time gets hot pretty quick, especially on the hotter maps. This one gets hot too but not as fast and once you start to get hot you can open up with just the MG's to crit seek and cool down.
Epikt's XL370 version looks like YUM. Since I'll be getting an XL375 for my critslot efficient Battlemaster and I don't want to buy both engines, I'll probably run this instead: Or this:
