Only because Pikachar said this build was brutal You NEED Adv. sensor range and ADV target decay as modules. oh, and a LOOONG sight range in order to work on your own. Speed is your friend. Edit, WO A+
My best guess is that the MG's are there to round out the hardpoints and provide 1+1 DPS with very good critical hit probability on exposed internals. It's a finisher weapon and at 2 tons a interesting choice, if the enemy closes and you have hammered them with LRMs - good chance you can crit some part.
Yes polk and Lan, those MG's are there to bring enemy weapons offline. I've tested it many times, and a mech with no armor being shot with 1 MG for 4 seconds, it will take out ALL of the weapons in that part. now, with 2, that chance is doubled, but it's still about 4 seconds. A Centurion can't take a large amount of firepower, so being able to disable weapons on the enemy is very useful in a brawl. also, about 15-20 seconds to remove a light mechs leg that has no armor.
CN9-D was on C-Bill Sale, so I got it. My build is slightly modified from this one, so I didn't start a new thread. I actually built it from this build http://www.mechspecs.com/forum/index.php?topic=3287.0, but yours is closer to what I ended up with because I wanted more speed. I went to post it and saw this thread and thought it more appropriate to post here. Anyway... I am enjoying it. Nice Build Verg - no matter what the others say! Oh, and yes. The Machine guns work well with the LRMs. Just don't engage fresh mechs in a fist fight if you can sit back and LURM them. Leg lights unless they are open torso somewhere. My build: I rated yours highly due to the following screenshots. Note this was back to back Pug games involving clan mechs. (EDIT: During the below games, I still don't have basics complete on this guy)
