Since no one seems to have posted a Wang build decided to toss up what I am currently running, this setup offers great heat management (1.94) vs the stock version, better speed, and range while still keeping the 2 med laser's for those short range engagements. Strategy Keep at range, zoom in and snipe with the Gauss ~Nuff Said~ I would love to see some opinions on this and some other builds that peeps are running.
I'm running Gauss-YLW with normal armor, normal HS and with 2 medium pulses, still without any heat issues and cheaper to maintain. Just strip the left arm and left torso of the armor for the needed space.
I am also running a Gauss-YLW w/2 medium pulse lasers. Upgraded to endo and a pretty fast XL engine (~88 kph or so). Still getting used to it, but it is pretty fun to use.
Ran a build like this. Basically put in FF and endo steel (before last whipe), gauss. Found it to be very heat efficient without DHS. The stock enginer I found to be perfect for this mech as it makes the mech VERY survivable. Can't count how many time I got shot to pieces and lived through the match. In one case I was down to a head, CT and one leg and still made the final kill of the match.
You have a slow XL engine, and you have unused tonnage, you even have loads of slots left. You can add ES and get almost 3 tons for you to upgrade youe engine, then get FF to upgrade it even more.
Actually this build is a very good one, but the OP version is not pushing to the maximum potential. I hope that the OP creator can update it. Here my version with Max Speed and 4ton of Gauss.Ammo: Blagg
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS SAYING! All he need to do is to rip out the DHS and engine, upgrade with ES and FF, then slam the biggest engine into this thing. There is even extra tonnage to max the armor, and something like 0.07 tons left.
