Yeah but there's bad and there's bad.... some champions are ok just not meta's to the nth degree. Some are horrible traps that haven't aged well at all.

I Don't think champs need to be meta, but at least not a wtf piece of scrap.

Things like the Jenner and Raven champs are actually ok. It might not be perfect, but at least it is reasonable.

Now that I am checking on them, it seems like 90% of the champs are acceptable builds, not great, but acceptable.

Afew of them are almost meta even, but there are also a few of these cringy crap, mostly the assault champs. That fucking LRM atlas.
Not saying they don't do stupid mistakes like case with XL, the fuck you are thinking PGI. Learn to battletech!

Try playing at weird hours, and especially in LFG groups. You are able to find many many interesting people.
I mean, it is like walmart people in mwo.

 

Specced this gem tonight. He was the perfect combination: complete douchebag insulting people in chat and on VOIP, calling out stupid commands in chat and VOIP, and then...he just decided we lost, and ran out of bounds after I died, and suicided. I snapped this pic just before he died, since the build was so atrocious. So, how did our glorious commander do? 5 damage. Five. I led the round with 515 and a kill...one of two that we got. I love nubcommanders...

 

I know, my K/D ratio is always happy when I'm able to play outside of primetime

 

Exotic loadout to say the least.
And badly conceived, it had STD engine but I destroyed it by blowing off the side torso anyway, that was used for ammo storage...

You bet it works, this mech is a monster. Fragile as ****, but deals massive damage. I personally use standard lasers, for better speed and heat management (AC and missiles are your main weapons anyway).



edit: In my opinion you have too many SRM and not enough AC. AC is the coolest and most versatile weapon, that'sthe one you're using the most. Iirc I have 35 AC shells and 300 missiles.
