Makes sense. I'll see how it plays but I've rarely ran out of 1 ton in my Jenner D. I just feel so bad using streaks I don't spam them like I probably should. Maybe now that I'll be targeting cravens I wouldn't feel bad about using them and fire them more
never did in my jenner-d. Besides, since we're including bap, it's really for playing next week. I don't see why you'd keep srm4's in place of streaks once bap counters ecm and you can unload on 3Ls, 5Ds, 3Ms, 2Ds. Since I've been leveling lights for the past month or two (3 spiders, 3 jenners, and now 3 cicadas) I just have an aversion to using skill-less streaks since I saw how they owned my jenners if you got caught away from the group or without ecm buddies running with you.
I was running an XL295 with 2 ML, 2 MPL and 2 SSRM2, but swapped over to this post-patch. Only difference is I threw in an XL320 I already had in my bay and shaved off a half ton of armor to fit 2 DHS and 2 tons of ammo. One hell of a light hunter-killer.
Just got my X5 yesterday and it's become my favorite mech in the class. Does anyone find running this with just 10 DHS too hot? I kept in the XL340 and almost have Speed Tweak unlocked. I figured since I usually play this as hit and run and light wars usually come down to streaks anyway that it'd be fine. Thoughts?
Streaks always go for the center torso, so if you want to exploit opportunities like almost gone legs on an opponent, you're going to fire those lasers quiet a bit as well.
I run this: And I find that the single ton of ammo is enough. The majority of my damage is from the 4 ML's either way, and the 2x SSRMs are for when I close with another light 1V1, or need that extra kick in damage. I am actually considering dropping the BAP for a 340XL and 1 extra DHS, (as mentioned above) I find the ML's are the primary damage dealers, and if you can get 12 DHS and 4 ML you basically never overheat
had a spare xl335 somewhere, perfect match =) 2 kph slower, 3% less Cool Eff. but most important added BAP
