My first thought when reading this was "omg this is stupid, how will I be able to explain this without being too harsh?" Then I remembered what was the topic of the discussion. I think you win
Should I post this in the funniest moment thread? It was very funny. In the other hand, I also were soooo nubb on this one... Well, anyway, the usual 12th enemy's hiding so we go for a cap. And since waiting is boring, we were fooling around. And I was so frustrated I could jump on the highest platform of the base(I'm usually pretty good at this game). See by yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stOz-Bmr4yg My sincere apologies to Karasson who was counted a team kill by my fault
When I was a nubbins I sold a mech w/ the equipment, thinking "I've got three more of that engine and plenty of those weapons, let's make some money!" Only to realize I'd sold the only two modules I owned...
Might have been the first thing I did in my first game. What better way to test if friendly fire is on than to Alpha your teammate and get TK'ed in return.
I didn't really make any rookie mistakes when I was new to MWO. The group I played with started by playing MW4 together to get ready for MWO pre-closed beta. Fun times. If anything I was over-prepared for MWO as my TRO specced Jenner in MW4 sucked in comparison to the things you can do with a MWO Jenner. Edit: Oh wait. I wasn't new at the time but I remember one of my first really close matches. I was pugging in my jenner at the time and had a pretty good match but the rest of my team was dead. I was bight red and cored out. Their base was just over half capped and they had 2 mechs still standing. Both came back to stop me from capping so I ran. I noticed the match timer only had a few minutes left so I hid and shut down. I thought we would win because the enemy base was capped more than our's. I was wrong. I had just never been in that situation before... after months of playing daily.
