Jester, because of the giant shit-eating grin on its face. And the fact that it has a face. And eyes on its back, so it's always watching you... staring.

I knew Wang was a Solaris hand-me-down for Allards, but some of the lil anecdotes you guys gave just now are pretty cool. Thanks! :)

Well, I've wanted a Huggin since the SRM4 machine gun quirks came out, but, I'm not in the mood to give PGI the money...

SO! I'll have to go Ilya. Simply for the ridiculous builds you can pull off...

    There's obviously the chainsaw, however...

My favorite troll build and the most fun mech I've ever ran...

Or, the Acehole's build of dual ERLL, dual Gauss...

    Or the long ranger...

Any way you want to run it, the Ilya is crazy fun. Sure, it doesn't have Jets, which is usually a requirement for me, but, it can lay around with assaults and ruin EVERYONE'S day! I love it for the troll factor! :D

Misery because it's the ultimate zombie mech. Can take a beating and still dish it out. My all time favorite mech.

Ilya because I agree with everything Captain Chattahah said.

TDK because going 171 kph with four arm mounted lasers is like being on crystal meth (Light)

Jester because it is the the ultimate jumping laser boat

TDK, hands down. Whether you choose 4x ML or LL + 3x ML or hell, 4x MPL, you really can't go wrong. The way the thing handles is a different enough experience to stand out, and it actually is fast enough to bug out of spots that would be insta-gib land for other lights.

The other two that will always have a place in my heart are the YLW and HM.
-YLW was one of my first in-game heroes, and it was, to wit, my first real experience in medium mechs in MWO, my second actual hero (TDK came first), and the chasis I used to teach myself about AC-10s, 20s, and LBX as well as the true zombie experience. If the YLW had been a stinker, it's a very real possiblity I'd have been turned off MWO altogether because there's no way I was going to limit myself to lights just to have a good time. I'd have found another game at that point. Instead, the YLW helped me learn the skills I needed to transition to other weights and mechs, and hooked me just enough to stick with the game. But, yeah, also the boomstick. Always the boomstick. THIS IS MY WANG! There are many like it, but this one is mine!

-HM came much later in my experience, but like the YLW helped me transition up so I can least say that while I may not be a great heavy/assault pilot, I don't *suck*, so that's something anyway. HM is the frat bro that somehow defies stereotype while embracing all of them so hard as to put other bros to shame. He's obnoxiously loud, manly enough to wear pink, will never settle for less than double-fisting in everything he does, but he's always got your back, brah, and will help you through whatever comes with whatever sniper, brawler, or mixed load-out you're most comfortable with. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, even though all the beer in my fridge is gone. Worth it.

My Misery is the first hero I bought. It's my first brawling assault mech, my only hero assault mech, and my current favourite of any of my assaults. I've had it a long time. I worked out a setup for it that is the standard setup for the folks in my unit now. And a lot of my unit has one of their own, so we'll randomly do evenings of triple misery drops and laugh as other teams are just not entirely sure what to do about it.

I've since been having a lot of fun with my YLW. My unit has told me that I'm an artist with an AC20. I consistently kill between 4 and 6 players a match with my Wang. If I want to grind up some c-bills I load it up and alternate between it and my X5. It's probably the mech I'm most comfortable playing, my go to for try hard playing.

Huginn is nasty. The ammo is a bit short, but if you find anything bigger than you 90% of the time it's just dead meat that hasn't realized it yet. I have a lot of fun obliterating enemy assaults and heavies in it. Whether I get the drop on them or not most of the time.

My fourth favourite has got to be Flame. I haven't played it in awhile but I usually load it up with a giant engine, max armour, some medium lasers, and an LBX 10. It seems to really confuse the light and medium pilots when this random heavy is running around as fast or faster than them. Especially the ones on the other side when I outrun and kill them when they come in for a quick shot or two :D

-edit- named the wrong hero dragon... sigh. lol

Yeah, I'm surprised more people haven't tried to sneak in the Fang & Flame as a combo yet.

Which would be perfectly acceptable. I mean, come on...

It's a great combo for 2 people to roll around with and cause a lil havoc. If say, my bro played... or I had a kid or something, that'd be fun to switch back and forth between those two mechs and have a lil rivalry thing goin on. ^^

Bet you guys didn't know my most played mech before the Cataphracts came out was the Dragon..!

For me it was never a competition. I figured the Flame in short order. Built my own setup and didn't even check here for one. It just fit my play style perfectly. I could never find a Fang setup that worked for me. I tried my own, came here and went through a few setups from the site. I wanted to badly to make it work. It just wouldn't for me :(

I pick Loup De Guerre because nothing beats the excitement of jump brawling.

For me hero mechs seemingly are a flavour of the moment,...

Ilya was my first one,... my lovely shotgun. A completely circumstantial but oh so fun build with nothing but 3 LB10X as weaponry. I drove her a lot,... and now all she does is gather dust.

Then came Metal, she was the pink godess of troll but I never truly got into her way of playing. I tried a lot of styles but in the end let her rust.

Arrow, oh Arrow,... the fond memories I hold of her. 2 MLs, 1 LPL to get the fun started. 6 MGs to finish the deal. Leaving her was unjust.

Today my taste goes to Yen. She's fast, nimble and packs a hell of a wallop. In her I currently trust!

    Out-of-category:
    Jester
is a CAT. I will keep playing her whatever the quirks, buffs or nerfbats do to her. CATs are a must!
