C'mon give your TIP, and then let's send this Thread Content to PGI and hope they listen to the community. ;)

    My personal best TIP:

    [size=16pt]ADD A MODULAR MAP & CAMPAIGN-EDITOR

... and let the Fans make some real good Stuff with it. The best inputs can be rewarded and maybe even officially included in the game!
    [hr]

And what is your best TIP?

Add multi-stage assault maps. People who played e.g. BF:BC2 know this, you have to destroy one objective (against the defenders), once this is done your respawn moves there, and the defenders move one point back towards the new defense objective.
Respawn: Yes, you can use the Mechs in your Mech ready list until all 4 of them are destroyed. You must only use 1 of each weight class.

Daily schedule of map rotations! Each day you rotate between only 2-3 of your maps, hopefully with a theme, and list the schedule on the website!
Also you can do 8 vs 8 one day, 12 vs 12 on the other, and things like that.
This adds to variantion in gameplay, also encourages builds that are tuned to different maps.

Obviously different game modes are nice, like protect the cargo train, capture the flag, oh even good old SOLARIS DEATHMATCH!!!!

A match recording option is nice also. Players can watch the game in replay to discuss tactics and what not.

A waiting room or waiting room for match making, so people can talk to each other before the whole matchup is even filled, kind of like a game room. There are different ways to do it, but whatever it is, it would be better than none at all.

MC items for things like pilot suit/clothing/etc and decorations is nice. Kind of like a paper doll that other people can see that shows up at the corner of the screen when you talk/type, or when you are waiting for a game to start. Looks cool, increases your income without affecting game balance. I would pay top MC for a top hat and a monocle.

Giant pony/robot unicorn for my mech to ride on when I enter the battle!

Put more RPG in your MMO.

The game feels very flat, it is a plain ol shooter with very little 'fluff'. I miss a goal, a reason, I want progression, a journey from A to B. Not staying at the same place and get a bigger and better A.

This will of course be the fabled "Clan Wars"~tm but as it stands I am afraid they will implement that as a ladder system hidden behind a non-interactive map.

Go the way of Dota, it's a system you will be able to sell to your financiers while opening up the huge IP. Adding con/-destructible structures, npc's, etc will breathe life into the stale deathmatch and will allow for specific roles instead of pure dps.

Let us choose missions for the various clans to build standing with them or choose to go in as Lonewolf Mercs for cbils to spend on the black market.

I want more meta-game. In the true sense of the word not as it's used for the weapon flavour of the week.

Just add the capacity to make custom game, with choice of player and map. But I think it is already asked by the community ;-)

My biggest tip to make MWO a better experience is to find a group to drop in with. I believe it makes all the difference on your enjoyment of the game. Not only can you coordinate your actions but you have people to talk to. When I started, I played the game alone and it just didn't feel like a team oriented game.

My tip? Allow weapons loadouts to be saved and then swapped easily on a mech rather than having to go in each time and fit things and move things etc.

    1) Add Solaris-style Deathmatch.

    2) Replace the "Assault" mode with an actual Assault mode that has multiple objectives.

    3) Allow < 12 player pug matches, and drop groups. Not everyone has only 1-4 or 12 friends.

    4) Allow map selection with a Random option.

    5) Let me sort my damned mechs, release UI2 already!

    6) Integrate voice comms in a meaningful way.

    7) Allow spectating matches. We will never get any kind of eSports-like competitions and play without it.

    8) Restore the CBill grind-rate to something a little more manageable.

    9) Stop releasing only hot maps.

    10) And this is a very tiny nitpic, but let me change my fucking icon in game to something, anything, more interesting than that white silhouette on black background.

    11) Stop over-nerfing every meta build that comes up.

    12) Do away with ghost heat and fix your approach to balancing. Layering on a highly complicated heat mechanic to try and balance weapons isn't scalable, maintainable or newbie-friendly. The heat scale works, the additional layers of it does not. I actually think implementing something more along the lines of a "Reactor Power Level" mechanic would work better, but I don't think PGI has the ability to implement this in a way that doesn't annihilate the game. If you are curious, just look at how EVE does its ship-fitting and you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about.

    13) Let us see our teammates' load outs in-game.

    14) Release Community Warfare.

    15) Stop talking about implementing Clan tech until you have what you have already created working appropriately.

    That's my current list.

agreed, I had to start a spreadsheet to keep track of all of my good builds. smurfy helps, so why not link smurfy links into the game?

as for my tip, We need 1vs1matches. one reason is to test the lifespan of these mechs, as currently we focus fire on mechs, and they go down very fast. Second reason is to actually prove to ourselves and others that we are the best we can be, AKA MechMaster :D

An Arena/Gladiator mode would be great. There could be a ladder, and people could spectate and make bets (CBill or MC) before the start of the match after looking over the loadouts.

This would be awesome however MC would fall under gambling laws since, in essence, it is real money. Since the government can't really tax it chances are they wouldn't allow it. We Canadians find ways to tax everything!

Yeah, after thinking about it for a second, betting for MC would be a pretty stupid idea. Actually, any form of betting wouldn't work, as people could throw matches and I doubt PGI would want to moderate the shitstorm following any match.

Edited to add: They would probably need a third almost useless currency, or they could give loyalty point bonuses for people cheering on gladiators from their chosen factions.

Seriously... they need to just roll this whole website into their client...

-The Mechlab is better than their mech bay
-All the information regarding ghost heat, Mech hardpoints, Weapons... etc... all easily accessible on one page...

U.I. 2.0 might make the client more user friendly... but as good as smurphy or mech specs? doubtful...

One of the reasons I could see why betting cbills won't be allowed is that it would give a way for gold sellers to enter the game.

Go back in time, postpone the launch until AFTER you release your critical updates, instead of launching it before and trying to cope with negative reviews until you release them. There are just so many arguments why this is wrong (unpolished crappy tutorial, getting used to UI and then radically changing it, ). I'm still just baffled why they couldn't simply slap another date on it, say somewhere around november/december.

Anyway, I'd like to see that loadout option and what I've seen in many games is that a useful first win or consecutive log in bonus motivates to play (I experience it myself as well). Double XP per mech is in my opinion a very poor choice as XP will become obsolete as you play a chassis often (probably your favourite one that makes you want to play more games), so you end up it only being useful for people who are 'grinding' pilot tree unlocks for chassis'.
A C-Bill First Win of the Day bonus would be much more useful to save up for equipment like XL engines and new mechs (oh dear we lose monies on people who pay $10 for a standard variant if we increase the gain of one match), doesn't force people to play in unfinished/unfavored mechs to be effective, and is similarly useful for the people who don't have time each day for grinding money or XP.

UI 2.0 for better mech management and game lobby.

More maps/better rotation management (also supposedly going to be implemented by a voting system in game lobby)

At least one additional game mode. Capture the intel? Progressive Assault? King of the hill?

Personalization of mechs. It's not difficult to implement decals so teams can add their logos in or players who are fans of digital art can make some custom decals. Plenty of games already add in customizable player content. Hell, it has been done for over a decade. Counterstike's beta was over twelve years ago and Half-Life's online engine allowed for custom player spray decals. Limit decal size/data, allow some true customization to our mechs. I understand this allows for "questionable content." However, set guidelines and if a player is reported for violations, kick 'em.

    Also, what Michael said!
Oh, hell yes. That would be such a time saver.

The one I would recommend most would be [size=14pt]More Weapons, Ammo and Item (Module) Types, Variations and or Quirks.

To go more into detail on what I mean, it would be cool to see weapons like the Mech Mortar, One Shot, Inferno and Fluid Gun o_O (these are all actual Battletech items).

To further this line of thought if we look closer at the Fluid Gun  it has been known to be used in conjunction with Water (not sure the benefit of this one), Oil Slick, Inferno (think Napalm), Coolant and Corrosive substances. Your mech could act to cool down a friendly mech that is running hot increasing their damage output and survivability in tight situations or you could dowse an enemy and watch as they stare in frustration at their uncontrollably rising heat level.

Or what about different types of Narc Pods: ECM Pod, Nemesis Pod^_^ (this one would be fun for messing with people), Haywire Pod and Shoot & Sit Pods (read as Ninja Pods :phear:). The Narc needs some love at the moment anyways.

Then there is the Cluster Arrow Missile system for LRMs that blankets the target area with hundreds of miniature missiles :)laugh: would also give AMS a heart attack).

Another one to consider is the new and completely unique system for Mechwarrior Online known as Modules . They could do any number of things with this as it has never been done before meaning there are no restrictions. Why not lay mines, or deploy a unit of ground troop infantry or lay a proximity beacon so you know when someone is coming through a tunnel or other unguarded area?

I know all of this could potentially give designers and programmers nightmares and migraines but it is the unique and quirky things like this that set each game apart from others in its same genre. I personally love the change to the Gauss as it is now a weapon with personality. The difficulty of use has gone up in some regards and in others it is now more effective and easier to use.

Give pulse lasers, known for their higher effectiveness as they allow armor vapor to dissipate between pulse bursts, the ability to allow machine guns, for a very short duration and maybe only after 2 medium pulse or 1 large pulse deal 90% of weapon damage to a single area, to penetrate to internal components and crit them :( before all of the armor is stripped.

You could even allow the Flamer to set fire to tree patches and buildings increasing the heat in localized areas that might be housing or hiding enemy mechs. This one, theoretically (nothing ever works as first intended), would probably be fairly easy to add as you would just need to set a boundary where the effect would take place, set a start condition, a duration time frame, a reset time and a fire or smoke visual.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the game so far :D, and the different mechs and maps are great and all, but the number of weapons or things you can use or have at your disposal has always felt like it could use a little more diversity. Then again, things like this could really throw off the balance  in the game that has reached a fairly polished level at this point. Either way, there's my two CN9s. ;)

Not if the MC is paid out in cbills! That would also help start a cbills conversion rate.
Let players trade parts and cbills and what not and the trading is complete.
