What is YOUR best game?

Reviving old thread because I was trolling around for something like this and didnt want to start a redundant thread.

I finally broke 1000 on my Heavy Metal (to justify the money spent) and this was a mid-ranged brawler build not poptarting. No PPC's on a Highlander whut?

Didn't screenshot it, but had an 868 damage, 4-2 game yesterday in my CTF-3D poptart (appropriately named "Easy Mode").

However, the damage isn't really the fun part. The fun part is how it happened - at the end of the game it was a 3 on 3, I had a red leg and no CT armor. Then suddenly my 2 other teammates catch Gauss rounds and die, leaving me 1v3 against a Heavy Metal, Atlas RS and Raven 3L.

Raven comes around the corner, which I notice because my sensors go wonky. I turn, spot it coming and fire an alpha into its CT, causing it to explode.

I jump a couple of times and drop the Atlas, but catch a Gauss round and lose a leg. Heavy Metal with no CT armor vs. CTF-3D with no CT armor and 1 leg. Long story short: I ended up winning because he went for my CT instead of my leg, and I twisted like a madman to protect it.

It was a pretty epic duel at the end. The last volley caused me to overheat so I wasn't even sure if I'd won, because he was still teetering back and forth on his legs.

 

So, true story. I'm working on getting my 25 wins in for the latest challenge, I mean who doesn't want a free cockpit item. While doing it my son is playing on his computer and eating his lunch. I have my Heavy Metal all loaded up and ready to go. Click launch, and start loading up into Alpine. It's at this time my son walks by me and says, "I'm going to go pee on the potty"...

So I do what every respectable dad does with a child still in diapers. I hop off the computer and head to the bathroom with him. He completes the deed with high fives and Great Jobs! all around, he then also decides he doesn't want big boy undies, so I clean him up and get him into a diaper. After that I give him a kiss on the head then head back to the compute, fully expecting to see my team dead with their being no chance of pulling anything good out.

What happens is the two teams are doing the old pop tart around the ridges by the antenna with a 0-0 score. I'm like SWEET! I can get into this and get me some. I decide to roll into the valley and then over the left ridges to start rolling up the flank, this is what happens:



One shot a Jenner, smoked a Jagger with an XL at like 600 meters, out dueled another Heavy Metal, and got someone else in there as well. Not a bad match considering!

 

Last night... 0 kills , 0 assists ... but my plucky little Jenner, as the only mech left against 5 opponents, helped win an A.C.E.S. Drop against the NGNG people ( while they were streaming).

next time I get a 4 kills / 3 assists in it I'll post a picture here ( have managed it a few times now...... )

When was this match? Before the LRM patch? That's insanely good damage for a C1 post patches. I'm jealous.

I'm still actually running 3 tons underweight with a 300XL until I get enough saved up for the 315, but yeah...just one of those drops where everyone didn't shoot me first for some reason - that's fairly rare... we managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory anyway

 

Came down to vs an Atlas, Cataphract, Hunchback and Catapult that were all pretty chewed up I an showdown at H8. I erased the atlas first because it was cherry CT, Then while I was choosing between the hunchback and the Cataphract ( the catapault didnt show up yet) I noticed the phract was out of ammo (2x ac2 2x ac5) So I start plinking away at the Hunchback getting him to orange ct. The hunch is flanking to the left and as he runs up the mountain, the pult decides to show up.

The Pult had 2 ppcs and some other shit, So I alpha him right in the CT and he goes down. I turn just in time to see the Hb closing on me. I get a few shots on him which dont register because hitbox luls and as he is about to close below my 90m threshold I BLITZ him right in the face with an alpha. Now It's just the Phract and I staring at each other. He tries to stay within my 90m however I give him the "Bitch, please" and erase his crit CT as well.

I finished the game not knowing how "well" I was doing or how many kills I got. I still credit it to my team who helped soften up all of those mechs before this. If it werent for them, The phract would have still had ammo, Those enemies left would still have armor, and I would have been one dead moo-cow haha.

 

my first time using PPC's ( 2xERPPC's , 2x SSRMS ) didn't use the SSRMS since I forgot to load up with ammo

 

Looks like this will be my last one on here for awhile. Kind of hard to beat this one in my Heavy Metal. I can't take all the credit in this one, I had some good team mates working with me, and I was in a pre-made. Still the enemy put out some decent damage, so it wasn't like it was a bunch of new players still trying to figure out how to group their weapons.
