What is YOUR best game (that you have proof for) and what build were you using? My best KILL game (since closed Friend and Family, sadly I have no proof of that game) is this one from tonight with my Centurion CN9-A Grimm build (XL Engine Upgrade)
I really wish I had taken a screen shot of my best game, in my Raven RVN-3L. I managed 810 Damage with 5 Kills. UntamedZer0 and Gdad77 were there to witness my luck...but I'm not sure if I'd believe Zer0...LOL Anyway, next time I manage an outstanding (if not irregular) score, I'll be sure to take a picture of it. Myth.
Screenshots saved via phone, can't upload it where I'm at atm (my excuse). I did over 400 damage and got 3 kills on a Spider. That's equivalent to getting every kill in the game and doing 2000 damage on any other mech 1008 damage on my brawler dragon on Alpine is my top score, sadly my stalker with 5 SRM6s hasn't topped it yet.
I know Michael said video or screen shots, but I just had an amazing game last night and did 666 damage, 6 kills and 1 assist in a Dragon-1C. For some reason you know when you get into the zone and start killing everything in site. LOL Normally I don't reply to these kinds of threads because I feel that I have so much more to improve and no way near the level of many of the Great mechwarriors I've been reading about on this site. But just this once, I wanted to join in on the fun
Hey Tiger, take Pride in the fact that you had a kick ass game. I have only ever had that (or better) a couple of times in my life and I would consider myself a competent pilot. I think back in Closed Beta I had a 7 kill game once in my Jenner but legging was easy back in the day and nobody could touch my Jenner due to the lag shield. Sadly I have never gotten better than that. I DID have a game a couple of nights ago with the ACES guys where I went 6 kills in a Jenner... No, it wasn't FRAPs so to everyone else it "never happened" but I know that it did and I'm still proud of being that damn lucky LOL
There is nothing wrong with war stories. My best game ever was last year in my Cataphract 3D "Room Sweeper" build as seen on the forums here. Came down to a Hunchback, a Cicada, and a weaponless Jenner vs me at Caustic. I dropped the Hunchback, ignored the Jenner, killed the Cicada, but incurred some damage in the process and ran out of ammo. The end result was a one legged Jenner with no weapons jump jetting like a wounded bird limping away from a one legged 3D with only a single medium laser. In the end I did 967 damage with 6 kills and 1 assist. I have had matches with more damage or about as many kills but nothing beats the way that one ended. Though I don't have a screen cap, some witnesses are mechspecs members.
Michael, I wouldn't call that luck as you are a proven mechwarrior with superior skills which we all can attest to. I've been playing Mechwarrior from the very first game and all the MW games except the x-box mechcommander game. I've played against and with many Great mechwarriors and believe me when I say you belong right up there with them. Btw the tips you gave me on piloting lights helped and I average 2 - 4 kills a match with the best at 800+ damage, 6 kills and 2 assists in a jenner. I'm still learning how to hunt in the shadows as I'm a natural brawler, hence my call sign but I'm always trying to become a better mechwarrior dispite how long I've been playing MW. Good Hunting, WhiteTiger
Back in time when the Splatcat was a beast, i did this: But i don't need a broken build to do some damage and beat up PGI employees: I used this build: http://www.mechspecs.com/showthread.php?817-RVN-4X-Poptart-(2-PPC)
I give you cheese LRM love. Still thats a lot of damage, kills, and assists. Now for some old school: Classic Atlas Founders brawler. I still run pretty much the same build, never lets me down. Finally something new on the rise: That Highlander will over take them all soon enough.
That is some pretty serious damage in the post-missile nerf era! What build are you running with that?
Kind of a poptart. Very close to the Fuzzy Highlander as I keep tweeking it. It's built around the core of: 2 PPC's 1 Gauss XL325 Currently and most likely to stay it also has: 1 SRM6 5 JJ's Near maxed armor. I found max JJs are needed for both jump time and recharge time on the jump fuel. The max armor is needed because I spread so much damage to my legs by jump brawling. SRM6 is just a good up close and personal way of making someone stop face hugging me.
I wish I didn't clean off my SS file recently haha. Keep those awesome scores coming MechSpecs - lets show them whos boss!
I just had a match with the highest score and damage I've gotten in a while. We just BARELY lost the match, (Conquest) but I was still proud of my score. I was using my Lancer MkII build.
I am one of those folks who has a clear difference between my 'Best Game' and my 'Highest Score' game. Because in a team game like this, numbers are far from the largest part that matters. I have never taken screenshots of my games (never been part of any group to really share the game screens -with-) so I don't have anything I could post up unless I top it (now that I know folks do such a thing, I'll screen). Highest Damage Game: Stalker 5s, the 2PPC 4LLAS build I posted, I got exactly 1001 damage. 'Best' Game: Catapult K2, 2PPC 2AC5, Alpine Peaks Assault map. I'm puggin' it, so the game starts and I give my usual "Stick together, Kill together" speech to team chat as we're all starting up. Being that we had no assaults and no lights - every one of us was a medium or a heavy - we opted for a defense strategy. Get a run of 4 of us on a forward ridge, ready for sniping, with 2 of us back on a second ridge with LRMs, and myself plus a wingman were holding a side entrance in case the other team tried to cut around us. We were waiting a long time for something to pop up on radar. After a bit longer, we thought the other team was trying to run defense as well. We didn't want to risk one of our heavies in a scout role only to get swarmed, and we were just debating on me and the wingman taking the long walk when they hit us. They played smart: Was a pair of ECM'ed Atlas' flanked by some Cataphracts, Catapults, and what I swear was a chinaman in a pink tutu (turns out later it was a Commando).Out of nowhere they just walk into our right side with Guass, PPC, and Autocannon fire that instantly cored my wingman and one of our snipers. I was moving my K2 around wide in prep for talking that scout walk, so I ended up between our two rows, kinda stuck in a easy clear-line-of-fire spot. But, from that spot, I also saw the enemy team had made a pretty fun mistake on their approach by coming up the valley into our base. It put a set of our snipers and LRMers on the high ground on both of their flanks as they came into the fray. Dunno why this made me giddy, but I squared up and made the dumbest decision possible. I charged them head on. Barreling down this snow valley at full tilt, PPC's and Autocannon's firin' off as quick as I could get to pull the trigger, and the enemy team taking fire from three of four elevated positions. It was -glorious-. The chinaman's Commando was the first to go down, didn't notice I was coming in time. Slowed to take a dangerous turn and caught one of my Alpha's straight to the chest. I took a hit on the right immediately after like a Chuck Norris roundhouse and saw one of the Atlas' paying me a little much mind. I turned to give his torso what for, but he got off an Autocannon shot that shook me around right as I fired. His loss, though - as what once would have been a center torso shot turned into a headshot instead, taking him out of the game. The rest of the fight after that is a bit of a blur - I was laughing about those two kills a little much not to remember them. I took my shots where I could and did what my K2 was designed to do: Flanking fire support - I didn't pursue or focus fire a target, I just concentrated on keeping my buds alive. But, near the end of the game, All Chat keeps popping up with folks saying 'GG Aedon', like I had done something special. Which was crazy, I thought, because I was the one that went charging down Stupid Highway at 78 KM/h. That's when I noticed the killboard. I only did like 280 damage... But I had all 8 kills. ... It's not a particularly impressive story, and I I didn't mean to ramble, but that sticks out in my head as possibly the most fun I've had on the battlefield yet. So it hits my 'Best' game funnybone amidst the idea that it's all about the numbers.
The very best games are always the ones we remember because of the shear insanity that took place and the loads of fun that insanity created. Who cares about the numbers if you are having fun.
Best game was in my JR7-D "Alpha" (build is on the forums). After a hectic (usual PUG style) battle on River City Night, I was left with 2 more enemies, a Jagermech and a Stalker. I still ran 3 tons of SRM ammo, so I had plenty to take down the Stalker with my SRM8. The Jager was trying to cap our base so I ran back as fast as I could, pretty damaged from the fights before and with the stalker. Doing my best to use the containers at the dock as cover, I kept poking on the jager mech, while my SRM ammo ran out he still had a yellow center torso. A little high speed hide and seek later, his torso was almost destroyed, and he gets an AC/10 on my left leg. My right leg is also red so in an act of desperation I use my jumpjets to get out oh his torso aim, as I fire 4 ML's into his center torso. As I rose above the battle he exploded. Most exciting match ever! ended with 4 kills, 771 damage and a black screenshot because I played fullscreen. The spectators were pretty happy.
Today i had my best and most scoring game in a 5LL stalker: We started 2 Man down but somehow i got not focused down and was suddenly able to play a hide&seek game with my slow and big stalker... Build: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=47&l=8c95808297049a601e7936e8134f8667099bfae6
