Was running it, it is ok, not sure if I am using SRM6+A or SRM6 or SRM4, will test. Generally speaking, works well as a flanker, and can take down a nova on his own. But this thing can die easily, not sure if it is the hitbox glitch thing. That having said, last night my lag is killing me so I can't even LRM boat correctly.
Haven't tried them so I can be wrong, but honestly Blackjacks seam to outperform all vindicators in every meaningfull way ... well I guess the missile hardpoints are something good, but honestly sky-high ballistics and energy hardpoints with JJs is hard to beat, only SPEED would do something ... but it's not the case, so: BJ1, Arrow and BJ3 >> ALL vindicators.
The things is, 1AA is much faster than the three JJ Blackjacks due to a XL295 max engine (BJ1x does not have JJ). SIB is a bit faster too, at XL250. That is why most consider theese two the Vindicator that is worth it. The other two is, as you have said, a bit weak compare to the BJ.
Just a Trebuchet 2.0 IMO. in predicted popularity and usefulness. At least there is a variant with ballistics so you can mount machineguns.
More than MGs But sadly no AC20 So the chassis is basically inferior in every sense to the BlackJack. Lower arm hardpoints, same speed, more profile to shoot at, and more ammo dependant hardpoints. But it has its funny advantages: Super-splash-critical-version http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=208&l=09a74b01458b21dbdfbbe40acf958dcfa3e6f3f9 With some backup http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=208&l=d8fb997d79a43e22aa6e545f776c60015410207f
For the kids that want all of the firepower but none of the pinpoint? Oy. You forgot about it's biggest advantage - it lives 5% longer than a Blackjack! WooOoOoOoOoOoOooOOOOO!
Vindicators is one of the last familys of mechs I've gotten around to and I've found that 1X is...less then great, to be polite. I've just tried it for the very first time and while it is not on my shit list I doubt I will be playing this much. Still, I will take it to elite and see if I can make it work in some configuration. I'm doubtful though.
