Eyo. So, I'm intrigued by the BattleTech universe. While I don't have any interest in the board game, I think the story behind it is quite neat. (At a basic level, anyway) I've read a bit about each of the houses, but the one thing I'm kind of curious about is what each house tends to use in terms of mechs. I haven't really read into the individual battlemechs at each of the house's disposal, so I can't really say what characterizes each faction's battlemechs beyond what I have been told. I understand Steiner likes them big, while Davion loves the Dakka, and as far as I can tell Draconis enjoys moving fast, affordable production, and lasers. Beyond this, I know absolutely nothing. So what characteristics do each of the great houses generally look for in their battlemechs? I'd be interested to know.
Marik are the best because they are purple. That's all I know and I don't need more. (PS: maybe look on sarna.net, not sure you'll find hat you're exactly looking for but...)
Here is what I think of when I think of the Great Houses House Davion: Dakka Dakka and most advanced tech they can find. Rifleman, Jager, Hatchetman (Dr. Banzai invented this one) etc. They like big but it has to have bling bling or it ain't worth it. House Steiner: Big. Lots and lots of Big. Think recon lances comprised of Assault mechs. When I think of Steiner I think "Germans" and "Peace through superior firepower" House Liao: Anything they can get their hands on (They do love Jagermechs) that doesn't threaten the fragile mental stability of Chancellor Crazy Bitch House Kurita: Fast moving PPC boats or anything praising the Coordinator:Think Panthers and (Grand) Dragons. Also anything that allows their code of Bushido. House Marik: Anything they can stick the colour purple on!
