Umm... Wat? I have just as many guns on my prime Nova... Maybe you are just unlucky? I have never seen anything like that before to be frank.
Might try stripping the equipment off your mech (via the command, not manually) and putting it all back on again. I still get the error sometimes where it thinks I have something equipped that's not there, and it gives me the loadout error. Maybe that's what happened to yours.
I can cause an error with the Blackjack where I can equip more energy weapons than it has hardpoints for, lol. I'd just strip the equipment and rebuild it
I had the same problem with the same build. I just removed the AMS. It seems to count it as a weapon.
I'm fairly sure this is because it counts the AMS module as a weapon so your 6 weapons per arm and 4 machine guns plus the AMS takes you to 17 weapons which the game does not like for whatever reason.
I haven't seen that specific error before but the game has glitched on me and thought that I had an LRM15 and 2 SRM6's in my timberwolf torsos before. It even let me save the loadout but it said it had a critical loadout error and that I couldn't launch in the mech until it was fixed.
I've had this error a few times with the BNC-3S and BNC-3M. Usually what happens is that when saving the build, it will stack two energy weapons into one crit slot, so you have to remove all of your lasers and put them all back in to find out where it went wrong when saving your build.
