To The Victors - Weekend Tournament

Same here. Yesterday EU evening was just horrible. Today I had some really good fights. To the point of actually not minding the loss, such nailbiters,...

 

Finished off the 20 points last night. Took 66 matches.

I was 12 points for my first 46 games - mostly playing mechs that I needed XP for - then said "screw it". Brought out the Magic Murder Machine (YLW) and played nothing but Conquest. Grab a kill, tag a mech, and cap, cap, cap. Should have been doing that from the start.

 

I finally have it. Took me a lot of matches... but... I did not see a lot of a difference between dropping in groups or solo.
Well, dropping in a group meant, your mates would hold back the killing blow for you if they already had one. But still... not as easy as it seemed.
(Took me 85 matches to complete. Man am I glad to hear others here needed nearly as much... so I didn't suck so bad... )

 

I don't have it and I'm no where near it. Just didn't have the time for it this weekend. Saturday games where horrible only managed 5 points in 2 hours of play. Sunday I managed a few sneaky games in the morning while my lady person slumbered but then had to head to the capital (London) for a musical master class (Linkin Park). I may try and cram in some more before the challenege ends but I highly doubt I will get anywhere close.

Never liked IS mechs any way

 

For me? The Victor is money.

 

And a mechbay.

 

Gave up on my alt. No time to do both accounts

 

1.5 mil C-Bills if you sell it w/o equipment.

 

Edit: Posted rather cryptic, what I meant was:

If you choose to sell the mech and strip the equipment, you get the money for the empty mech, the mechbay, the weapons and a XL350. So the net value is pretty big even if you don't want the mech.

This is especially good if you need more engines since CW is coming, then you will have to have four mechs ready in a drop deck.

All my mechs have their own engines plus I have spares of everything from XL260 upwards.

 

After the quirk thing I did a bunch of shpping, so I am a bit short on cbills I think, getting a mech chassis to sell is not too bad (sold the non-champ version I had), another 1mil or so and free XL engine, and that lovely mechbay.

 

Umm, when do we actually get the Victor? Completed the challenge yesterday already, but still no Victor in my Mechlab....

Strange. You should have gotten the T2 Reward instantly. Check up your Challenge Site https://mwomercs.com/login?return=/profile/stats?type=challenges to assure you really made it. If you really have your 20 Points, you should contact the official Support @PGI

Curiously Russ has posted on Twiiter suggesting that they may either a) extend the tourney or b) bring the challenge back online at a later date. Suits me, never had time to finish it but guess it sucks for those that didn't do other stuff to get their Victor? lol.
