I am excited so far!! It's amazing how he can take those old line drawings and make them his own... and awesome.
I like the Shadowhawk. I would rather have my beanpole Locust legs back. Not sure why they flipped the cockpit and LRM rack.
They flipped it because they can. Also, it helps to make it more of a PGI owned image than whoever else owns the image. I would love to see what they do with all the other mechs out there.
They flipped it because the LRM15 (in the original 3025 TRO) is located in the RT Nobody knows if this was a screw up on the original proof reading or whether the person putting the variant data together didn't pay attention to the original artwork.
The "Project Phoenix" Thunderbolt has the LRM on the right shoulder and the cockpit on the left just like the art work from MWO. Click link http://www.solaris7.com/TRO/HTMLBattleMech/BattlemechInfo.asp?ID=4378
Not to get greedy or ungrateful, but I am more excited that this opens up the possibility of seeing a Marauder, Warhammer, Archer, Stinger, Wasp, Griffin, Wolverine........... RIFLEMAN.....
"Don't hold your breath on the Macross mechs" is what Russ said on the NGNG Podcast. Dougram and Crusher Joe, the ones we have now, yes. Maybe even the Griffin and the Wolverine in the future. Macross, the ones people really REALLY love, are very unlikely.
Judging by the silhouette of the Battlemaster and those distinctive shoulders I am willing to bet it will also resemble the "Project Phoenix" version. Posting a link for the pic. Click below http://www.solaris7.com/TRO/HTMLBattleMech/BattlemechInfo.asp?ID=4819
I want to buy the 80 dollar pack so bad... game balance is so bad though, ugh... what to do what to do... lol
Same boat I'm in. Revealing a bunch of mechs isn't nearly enough motivation for me to put $80 down unless I see a proper discussion about their unbelievably pathetic HSR hit reg being fixed.
