Wait what. I don't recall any times we've not "got along very well", but here's what I see: You are dissatisfied with the state of the game. k Okay, sure. That is reasonable. wait wat k so you're admitting you want people to listen to you (attention) hypocrisy, k ... k Well you sure do love adult language. lol
Maybe you should think about riding the bomb then? But yeah, sad that some of us have not seen this masterpiece. As for the who Quitting thing. Well, you can quit if you want. Just leave the account active. You don't need to delete it, and you can make new accounts any time you want. Maybe, in the future when the game matures, you may enjoy a comeback? Well, I do understand that developers (and worse the money guys behind them) sometimes does ruin perfectly good games. I had my share of pain when I quit old school Star Wars galaxy when Sony fux it up. I had seen a few games that goes from nice and decent into stupid f2p which end up you having to pay more to get any decent level of playing. In this case, I just hope that MWO is not just trying to grab as much players as it can and reap money as fast as it can without caring for the long term development of the game being sustainable. In fact, this is a big problem especially on the asian side where you get loads of mmo and what no coming up designed with a great start with loads of players, then falling into ruins within a year or two after the starting rush. I hope that MWO can be sustainable, think WoW or the old UO.
I'm taking an extended break as well. I'm caught up in too many online multiplayer games. I'll loop back around for the Project Phoenix drop since I'm invested into it.
I usually don't need more than a couple day's break, but that's me. This thread prompted me to try out Hawken over the weekend... It just made me come back to MWO because I enjoy it more. It's fun, just not as fun. Take a break and come back, man. Drop with a few of us if you like and see if you have fun.
So how's Hawken? (You traitor! ) I want to try it myself, but couldnt find a reason to do it until now.. Gimme a reason man!!
I don't have any... Movement is typical FPS. The matches are a little faster paced with respawns, making it a typical deathmatch. The mechs are far simpler to load out, but you have to grind to level up your mech to be eligible for unlocks.... It's extremely linear. Easy to pick up, easier to put down. I jumped right in and was at the top of the scoreboards in the various matches I played. I just didn't have as much fun or challenge as when I play MWO. Though, the mid-match repairing was a refreshing mechanic. MWO has more depth and more interesting gameplay. If you're looking for a reason to try, you've come to the wrong guy. Hawken made me appreciate MWO more. lol Edit::Grammar
Hawken, eh? Yeah, that's a fun game. Great to romp around in and annihilate some scrubs. MWO is where you go for the real challenge, though You didn't hear it from me, but if you are interested in Hawken there are some NVidia promotional codes circling around Ebay. They give you a bunch of in-game cash for a fraction of the cost. At the promotion's peak I got approximately $200 of in-game currency for about $20. And of course I gave a $10 to Hawken itself. Support the devs and all that
