5/5, Perfect use of quirks and an inherently powerful build with "close" to pinpoint damage with the MPL. I prefer to drop a heat sink a bit or armor and the engine (275/280) to pack on a NARC with 1-2 tons of ammo. Not as formidable by itself as the originally posted build, but the NARC is so rewarding when the 'all chat' indicates LRMs are demoralizing the enemy.
A NARC makes a sneaky surprise for sure, especially for those Hellbringers, I love to hide a NARC in an high alpha build. But 1 ton of ammo is way enough in my opinion.
The AMS version is also nice if you decide to use one, uses all slots and it's basically the same DPS wise, a tad lit slower but even more armor.
4/5, This build used to be the anchor of my Community warfare deck but with the patch at the end of November they added ghost heat to firing 7x MPLas so I dropped one in favor of AMS and more Armor.
Dranozir, that's a nice little trick. Unfortunately my OCD won't let me do something like that. Having one weapon for 5 damage on a different schedule than the rest of my weapons would bug me.
Did someone say Targeting Computer? I prefer the weight/flexibility of LE300s. Could run the TC8 instead for shenanigans, but it's already low on heat sinks as it is. More DHS is also nice: Though personally I've switched to 1LPL 6MPL.
@Tactix I do! In here: https://www.mechspecs.com/threads/tdr-5ss-wub-stomper-1x-lplas-6x-mplas-std-275-alt.10631/
5/5, Super fun build. This and the 2xLPL 5xML laser build are both 5-star builds for the chassis. I wanted a knife fighter, so I went with the 7xMPL, but the 2xLPL 5xML's added range is probably objectively better. 7xMPL is a bit limited, but it is suuuper fuuuun. Here's my take on it, with skill tree: _ https://kitlaan.gitlab.io/mwoskill/...06270dcf37f0000e86f770f000080af271b#s=Weapons Fire groups are: Left click: left side MPL's Right click: Right side MPL's 3: arm MPL's 4: chainfire all. I maxed out the range nodes to stack with the range quirks and a TC1 to give you almost 300 meters of reach. For low exposure situations you can go ahead and alpha by left and right clicking simultaneously, the heat penalty isn't too bad. But if you are about to get into a prolonged knife fight, stagger your shots for max DPS. Unless you see an open component that needs to get killed.
