Due to the great difficulty of finding an effective setting for the 5S, I opted for the XL280 motor for greater firepower. This combination of weapons proved efficacious... It has a good balance between alpha and DPS, manage heat well and showed a high lethality!!! https://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=114&l=cb1a084bd493c343edcdbb07b8df2183a9c3bafd TY.
An alternative: how is one slot left and scraping half-ton includes SLas. Taking a whole ton however would be too much ... It's interesting because if the loss of an arm to occur (or two) I'll have a little more firepower; 90 meters below the SLas adds 1 DPS (this can occasionally contribute). Furthermore is nice...
Looks like a Rifleman build for me! Well done. I like it! If you put all the lasers in the ST, you can lower the armor on the right arm and load more Ammunition.
With everything in the left side it's easier to protect, but you endanger your XL engine. I'd go with a variation of the build in this thread: http://www.mechspecs.com/forum/index.php?topic=4837.0 The reason is: The Close range burst is the same, 2ML =~ 1LL, but the LL has a bit more range. However, the LL loses damage after 450m. so at 675 m, 2LL =~ 1ERLL. The range at which you could deal more damage with your build is around 450 m, where the MLs from the above build don't matter but your LLas are twice as powerful as the ERLL. You trade in speed, ammo and efficiency though for that advantage. Besides, in the build I would prefer over this one all the long range weapons are in the arms, which gives you better control/aim at those ranges. If you want to stick to 2LL+2AC5s, I'd personally forgo the 'added burst' of 1 ML and use that on your speed, ammo and survivability (maybe drop a heatsink as well), because imo it's more important to stay in that 450m zone of your enemy than to get more burst when het gets within 270m. 82 KPH is really awesome compared to 76 kph.
Yes, I considered it Blagg (because there is no problem having all the weapons on the same side, since the engine is XL) ... including the first version I used was the one below (with the difference that putting the MLAs in the arm), look: But it happens that I thought I better have a LLas this arm to power with 2x AC5 targeting targets too high or low, and it wanted to complete this armor right arm (and had no where to take safety). Furthermore, sometimes the (left) ballistic arm is destroyed prematurely, or not always we can have the opportunity to spend 5 tons of ammunition, so ... found more practical as well (also a case of preference). SubjectSeven, as the first variant that you presented, I found very interesting, and his arguments strong, Built like this, it really seems to compensate, even with the extra speed and ERLLas pays off in the distance LLas 2x (comes with proximity and the 3x MLas yet). However, 2x LLas regular work optimally with 2x AC5 (and MLas which is reservation), moreover, the management of heat is easier. Both builds seem to be similar in terms of efficacy. I personally prefer the Serial Killer, because the combo 2x LLas + 2x AC5 work Superbly together (their efficiency is proven, a harder punch middle distance). As the second building although pragmatic and swift, leave all weapons on the same side and although in practice this is not a serious problem, it is psychologically unstimulating for me (besides leaving the right side, say a, little less protected). I think a better distribution of weapons is important for the fun ... Well, I'm suspect to analyze these issues, but it is just my opinion. Relevant alternatives were presented by you and Blagg and I think some readers will be enjoying the discussion. Ty buddy!
Ooooops! Now is what I saw! I put the engine in the wrong loadout input, it is an XL!!! (Smurfy's loadout, yet always right and has not changed). Just a distraction ... Sorry, fixed now!
