This may be too evil to post...

So I have been running LRM boats since I fell in love with my Catapult. Recently I've been running around in my Stormcrow "LRM Speedboat" build with a lot of success helping out my team.

Lately I've been getting people on my team complaining about kill-stealing when I (and the other LRM boats) are just trying to help us win: suppress the enemy advance with missiles, focus fire on a dangerous assault 'Mech, or even when backing up a big push from our team.

I've seen more and more people engage the enemy without getting a target lock on purpose because they are worried about kills... This is incredibly stupid because they usually lose their duels and then the LRM boats have to take on a superior force by themselves and get swarmed. This is also a game where team work and cooperation are rewarded (spotting assists and win bonuses for example).

So okay kiddies, I'm done playing nice.

I think 60 LRMs with 1440 ammo is a nice trade off of firepower vs ammo consumption. I've added a cBAP to help get those locks as quickly as possible and I've added a TAG for when the enemy atlas with the ECM charges you. I know the 2x cERMLas won't do much, but they are meant as a backup weapon and something to hit the lights that might harass the LRM line.

    *** IMPORTANT***
For the most part this mech doesn't run that hot, but on the hotter maps I would chain fire the LRMs to help manage the heat.

To me this is the perfect LRM boat. Lots of firepower, good utility items, and really good speed to bug out when things go horribly wrong and your firing line collapses.

Let me know what you guys think and if there is anything you would do differently!

I love running an LRM60 on the battlefield as well. The "Madcat 60" build I run is here:
    http://www.mechspecs.com/forum/index.php?topic=7296.0

It has a lot more missile ammo (1980), especially for target rich environments and long matches. 1440 rounds wouldn't be enough for me as that equates to only 24 salvos for an LRM 60. I don't run a BAP as I find that the annoying ECM Lights don't jam me a lot, and the extra tic waiting for lock isn't a problem for me. I use that extra ton for 1 more cERML for added defense close up when the smart pilots close on me or Lights mess with me. I don't find I need extra heatsinks with this Mech as it runs cool enough. I use the ASR and ATD Modules.

Think your legs are a bit weak.
I changed your build to 4x LRM15, that way you gain a free ton, and get a JJ for that. Though I do think you might need to drop a ton of ammo for some more leg armor though. Depending on styles I guess

That's actually really close to what I'm running now after some trial and error:

I decided to switch over to the prime for the c-bill bonus (I tend to make a lot per match).

I found that even without added heat sinks I'm doing just fine with heat management so long as I chain fire the LRMs. I added 1 JJ because my clan 'Mechs tend to get stuck on level geometry a lot, even if it is something that I shouldn't be getting stuck on (a shallow crater for example).

I took off a lot of armor on the legs to support more ammo but honestly no one ever attempts to leg a Timber Wolf, and I am usually away from direct fire fights anyway.

*Important* I played with the idea of 4x cMLas instead of 3 + TAG, but it was a bad idea. I put the TAG back on and managed to take down an ECM Atlas that was "charging" me because he thought his ECM would prevent me from locking on. TAG is a MUST for LRM boats IMO.
