TC3 for even more range and all the other bonuses. 3JJs are nice for mobility, since the mech can afford them.
I'd downgrade to a TC5 (and lower armor if you really also want to keep the cAP) and put in more DHS, especially with a level 5 cMPL cooldown module (3s - 0.36s = 2.64s): Full Damage Range: (330m + 20m [Range Module 5]) * 1.12 [12% TC5 Range] = 392m Max. Damage Range: (660m + 40m [Range Module 5]) * 1.12 [12% TC5 Range] = 784m even more Wub (but ghost heat), TC2, no cAP: Full Damage Range: (330m + 20m [Range Module 5]) * 1.085 [8,5% TC2 Range] = 379,75m Max. Damage Range: (660m + 40m [Range Module 5]) * 1.085 [8,5% TC2 Range] = 759,5m As you can see, the difference in range is pretty small and should not be an argument. Faster target information an additional crit rate however needs to be considered. Will test that this evening
I just played 3 matches and it has a nice feel to it, pretty brutal. I downgrated the TC7 to a TC5 to add 2 more DHS though. The heat ist very manageable. Now Im going to play a couple more matches to see if I like it more than the 2x cLPL, 5x cERML build
2LPL + 4 or 5 ML is the build I also had in mind when thinking of similar loadouts....more range, longer beam time
I'll give this build a go, you know I can't resist a new Wubly mech build Seems like interesting benefits over the Stormcrow 6 cMPL build. Better cooling, jump jets, and a large targeting computer. Looks VERY attractive actually, nice idea!
yeah the cooling can be tuned, not having the mech does not help, so testing and adjusting is something I can't do yet ! Do you have the MLP range module too? how much range does it have? The 2 LPL 5 ML is sure a great build, but I tested the 6 MPL stalker, I've seen Solahma Wubanshee results, I like the med pulse lasers a lot in IS, even tho the damage can seem lower, so in clan you actually land it almost always all while esposing for a minimum time (even less then IS standard lasers) but also fix all the problems IS have, at least that's the idea (the stalker lacks a bit of speed, so does the banshee and uses an XL, the timby can use a clan XL, plus the JJs, and the range from clan MPLs)
It was a build I was using a few weeks back, between the range module and the targeting computer you get some good range on the MPLs, it makes a nice brawler with a good punch. I eventually went back to the 2xLPL 4xML build though for the extra range.
I'm using this as my current laserboat since LPL+ERML has become even hotter ... If mastered 7MPLas can be handled with no problem just by having 2 weapon groups for torso and arm lasers. I've got no cooldown module yet, maybe I will switch back to 6MPLas then. Just had a 1441 dmg game without arty/air strike (sorry no screenshot)
Well, I bought the cooldown module and I'm still runing 7MPLas. Yes, its more heat but man it's also more wub and fun .... components flying around everywhere! Until you have unlocked double basic skills / mastered the mech, I would go for 6MPLas + TC3 or TC2 on the Timberwolf S. If you have no Thunderbolt SS, then this is your clan version of it. Im playing with two friends (2x Timber + 1x ThunderboltSS) and it's a constant wub-party in voicechat.

Ahah I didn't notice @Solahma version is better, heat improvement is welcome, because it does run hot even with a lot of DHS. 2DHS and +5% must be a huge boost. Since is not free 2 play, I'll split the 2 versions for now, and then replace it when it will available for cbills.
