My first stalker, and my current build for that matter. I have tried many different builds but have comeback to this one. It is a streaky brawler and follows my 5M build closely. It doesn't have the punch of the 4SRM6, 6ML full brawler version but has LLs for ranged engagements and streaks for fast mechs. with STD300 and 22DHS, it is a joy to pilot.
Not to be picky, but this is exactly my build from... June. Sans the AMS, making your mech more vulnerable in general. Streak Brawler
Cheers. I only joined mechspecs recently but have been playing since open beta started. An AMS would help but I find the tonnage more useful elsewhere, at least on this mech. I started running this build in February back when LRMs had slow travel speed and hence gave you more time to find cover.
My fellow players yell at me for the same thing all the time. I rarely run AMS. I know I'll usually have ECM/AMS teammates and in most of my mechs, I can find cover/break line-of-sight just fine. However, in Stalkers, it can be a bigger issue. I usually just hold back and keep up against buildings/rocks and don't allow myself to walk through an open area unless I have plenty of support. I just hate using tonnage for something that can't kill.
So yeah, this just happened: This build is pretty awesome I used ERLL though, 1 ton less streak ammo and put it into armor.
Glad to see it work for you. You'll be pulling 1k matches in no time. I like the ERLL too for the better ranged punch
I have already gotten several, and never lower than 500 unless my team wanders around like chickens waiting for the slaughter. This mech is a really mean bully
