Something I was experimenting with the other day and had a lot of luck with it. Hit's really hard up close, has a lot of burst damage with the AC20 and 4 med lasers, doesn't overheat too quickly, and moves quickly enough to act almost like a medium mech. Also handy to have those JJs to avoid fire and get the "jump" on people. I don't rely on the LRM for sniping, but it does add to the flavor of the JJs when you're flying around the map and can still lock and fire while on the move. The arms are hard to hit so people normally aim for the chest. Stack up on that torso armor. Weapon groups: 1) 4x cERML (Left mouse button) 2) cUAC20 (Right mouse button) 3) cLRM10 (Mouse thumb button or hotkey like "E" on keyboard)
I think its spread to thin, not enough ammo for either the cUAC20 or the cLRM10. Its going to be crazy hot, and spamming one lrm10 isn't really going to get much done on its own anyway. better off to commit to LRM's or the UAC20.
Liking this builds concept. If played well it can put out some hurt. Seems too many players these days focus too much on ammo and underestimate what they can do with their backup weapons and extended lifespans by not running the "YOLO" Regime. I like it, feels like a pumped up stock build. Wish more players would run mixed builds like this rather than min/maxing so hard.
I think u can deal more dmg with this: Added ArtemisIV to speed up the lock time of the streaks. U can allways switch the cAP for one more ton of cUAC20 ammo, or a heat sink.
I'm with OP on this one. I tend to prefer flexible builds for PUG matches over dedicated ones. As long as you regulate your LRM usage, You can do just fine with this.
I played a build very similar to this when the SMN came out. You should try a variant replacing 2 or even all the cERMLas with cERSLas. You'll definitely feel the difference in heat and weight freed up. The range advantage of the cERMLas will be covered by some additional ammo for the cLRM10. Give it a try, I bet you'll be positively surprised.
I'm not sure why you need the LRM's tbh. I ran a ERML/UAC20 setup as one of my 3 variants levelling them up and it was a decent focused build. You really needed loads of ammo/DHS even without the LRM's.
