Am i missing something, or am i just not able to shoot LRM's out of the air? Given that the AMS actively shoots the missiles out of the air and they do have a hitpoint of 1, i thought i would give it a try. Nope. Can't shoot em down. Anyone else try this or think it should be possible?
At some point in the future LAMS comes out (Laser Anti Missile System). Not sure why they won't let ya shoot them out but guess not hear:
Oooooo, LAMS will be good, no ammo, but they do generate heat... I am going to take a stab and say that the LAMS will weigh in at 1 ton, take up 1 AMS hardpoint, 1 crit slot, due to them being laser, they will have unlimited ammo, not to sure about how much heat they will generate though. Also, on Sarna, they have the LAMS being developed in the IS at 3054, not in production until 3059. In the clans, clan Wolf did it much earlier, developed 3045, in production 3048. So I pose the question, will the LAMS be introduced clan tech?
when LAMS comes in it'll give those lights with flamers a purpose ( " oooh you have lams? come look at my flamer hear: " ) of course they'll need baps too......
