I haven't seen any good long range builds for the Shadowhawk, so here's my attempt to correct that. There are multiple reasons why I picked the ERPPC as the backup weapon, in order of importance; 1) The SHD-2H only has one Energy hardpoint, which means that whatever you put in there had better be multi-purpose; 2) PPCs kill ECM, so you don't need a TAG in order to counter that; 3) ERPPCs don't have a minimum range, which makes it a passable point blank weapon; 4) The range on an ERPPC makes it a good combo weapon for LRMs 5) ERPPCs have the highest damage of any energy weapon (I don't count that piddly .6 difference from the LPL), which makes it great for hitbox targeting.
