    Variations on this theme do seem to work well on the 2H, but do you need that many heatsinks with a regular PPC? Also, where's the BAP for the SSRMs?

    BindMind posted a very similar build in this thread: SHD-2H Megatron, which basically has AMS and BAP in place of the added heat sinks but uses an ERPPC. The heat efficiency on it is ok, even with the ERPPC (36%). With a regular PPC, it would be 47%.

    annnnnnnnnnnnnnd there you go. I don't need the AMS that much and I really like the heat efficiency as it lets me lean on the PPC pretty heavy; there ARE times that a spider does close within 90m and I have to rely on my MGs to scare it away. I suppose I'll give it a whirl with the BAP and see if I can't surprise 'em.

    Sweet. That looks pretty solid. Fair enough with the heat sinks given that the PPC is your main weapon.

    You can mess lights up pretty good with the SSRMs and MGs, and you're fast enough to chase them for a bit, so I think the BAP is essential. It expands your options in terms of the role you can play - you have the speed to respond to base caps, for example, where you might need it with ECM lights. Extra detection range never hurts either.

    That's one thing I hadn't thought about before though - does the PPC still disrupt ECM if it does no damage, i.e. within 90m? Anyone know?

    Another way to do the BAP with 1 less HS and 1 less JJ.
