Its also in the wrong section. That is a 2D2 build you have in the crib sheet.

With the latest updates on Pulse lasers, i thought i might give a bigger one a chance. There is few
shortcomings in this design, speed since it is under 100, light on ammo, but i usually run setup 1 ton
ammo less then number of launchers. You get caught running dry sometimes, but not to often.
And Heat, i haven't run dual LPL on any of my mech, so im a bit in the dark.1 works really well on
2H with 3MG,3SSRMS. Its also my first XL build out of 5M, both 2H and 2D2 run on STD.
So i need an opinion on the link below, before spending money on XL, thx.

ADMIN EDIT: Fixed the build and the subject line. Please read the FAQ on build posting guidelines to prevent future posts from being deleted.

    Welcome to Mechspecs but please:

Read the FAQ/rules, use 'smurfy tags'.

    That results in this:

As for the build itself I find it too slow. I run 4xSSRM2+2xLL with an XL325 and I don't find it worth sacrificing a launcher, ammo, speed to get 4 tons and reduce the burn time of the large lasers a bit. The range is also still lower than regular LL.

HOWEVER: the XL300 is a great engine for a lot of other builds (as is the XL280 and XL255). You get a free XL300 in the Centurion 9D if you were planning on getting centurions at some point in your mech bay.
