P stands for PewPew.

If i don't run the Devastationgeddon build i`d run the PewPew build. The Stormcrow doesn`t have as much E-HPs as the Nova, so maybe make it more a Range Shooter with Double Large PewPews backed by Penta Med PewPews. 20 DHS to keep the Heat under Control and almost max Armor. Can also deal a nasty Alpha Pew!

I have been running this same build with great success, the crazy range on the ER makes for some great early game poking and the 5 clan mediums make for a great finisher. Here was a good match I had with this build as I was typing this up.

My most recent version of this build drops 1 medium and a bit of armor for AMS and Ammo. Even with the radar deprivation module Clan mechs are packing a lot more LRM's, plus it makes the heat a bit easier to manage.

 

this is a 5/5, although a bit hotter than the standard setup where i already scored over 700

 

I'd put the large lasers in the side torso's, and the mediums in the arms. I've found that the torso mounted weapons tend to be more stable for long range sniping, and having 4 mediums in the arms really helps when taking on light mechs up close.

 

i'm playing it with one ML less but instead go myself an AMS

drops 1 medium and 2 heatsinks for a mark 3 computer.


The only 2 games I have played with the targeting computer, so far so good I would say.

Great build. I've mostly been playing it with 4ERML. One of my first battles I got over 1100 damage, and I usually get multiple kills per match. Started playing this build during the Victor Challenge, quickly getting to 15 points with this build alone. However after so many straight wins I think I got bumped into a higher elo bracket and it took me almost as many battles to get the last 5 points as it did the first 15.

 

Overheats very quickly, so no extended brawling for you, only hit and run mostly. Hit and run is okay, but SCR maneuverability is not that impressive.

I feel like it will be more effective with one less cERML. Sure, nothing stops me from tweaking it. But. Very likely I should tweak my playstyle instead of build. (It's only my 3rd clan 'mech after years of IS only.)

I ask your advices, pilots, abot how to use this build most effectively.

 

yes this build is with the higher Heat Production after the Nerf late Summer difficult to handle. Either you keep the loadout but fire Dual C-ERLLas at distant targets Grouped and Chainfire the Penta C-ERMLas at nearer targets OR you drop 1-2 C-ERMLas for better Cooling. Another option would be to downgrade to Penta-C-ERSLas.
