In case you're wondering why.... the 21st will be full of jump jetting Direwolves; dual ER PPC poptarting Nova's and 4 ERML/ 4 ASRM6 Timberwolves.... among other things..... etc etc etc.... (stolen from a variety of places but I can't remember where except for the last which is @Soy )
I will get the SCR and Timberwolf hardpoints for sure, then my lonely nova might get 2 friends with the poptarter. Jumping dire, to those who tried, is it really worth it? And I might get the WHK chassis too, I like the mech and the build with 4MPL 2LPL and 2srm6+A would be the best for me, but the C variant would be needed.
Mod note: date edited in thread as well. On topic: the Dire Wolf S not only comes with JJs, but with amazing hardpoints as well if I'm not mistaken.
Yeah, which is the reason I will be getting it, stripping it down and using a the LT and RT to improve my Gauss/SPL build. Then I will probably turn the S into some kind of laser boat..
Translation: Adder: Allows for ballistics in both arms. Kitfox: Option for 4x Ballistic(4x MG) Mystlynx: If you like your arm with 1E2B then it is ok, the other arm is ignorable since you should be using ECM. Nova: Yeah, 2x ERPPC in the torso, but it is hot, really hot. Stormcrow: Tried 3xSRM4+xSPL and it is impressive. Yay for even more energy hardpoints. IceFerret: You can finally do things like 5xERML+1xSRM4, or similar combo. You need more energy hardpoint, but not that special. Summoner: Shit. Nothing new here. Unless you like quirks for UAC jam. Mostly not worth it. Timberwolf: Yay for 4x missile hardpoints without having to get JJ. Maddog: If you like 2x ballistics... then again 2x AC + 4/6xSRM is deadly. Direwolf: You HAVE to mix omnipods. ONE JJ is enough, and makes lots of difference. Also, you get energy harpoint for head. Great for AC builds. Warhawk: Energy CT finally. Gargoyle: Really, you are going for that 6E arm, the body is shit. But 12x SPL assault going 80+ mph is scary.
Most do tbh. The quirks change stripped away the negatives on a few of the worst mechs like the Nova and left them with just low level quirks but they do help.
When the mechs come available for sale, do the omni-pods become for everyone independently as well, or do you have to own the base chassis? Either way I'm saving my C-Bills, I just need a plan of attack.
ugh, time to redo all the damn loadouts again... That's 140mil cbills just to buy the mechs plus changing Omni's on all the mechs you already have. I only have 75mil banked right now, and that's before doing Urbie loadouts
Nonononononoononononono NO Use A arms This is very important. This stops you from cooking yourself off. You are doing this build wrong. I posted about this specifically in the thread!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I didn't mention it enough, but, it's much better than Prime arms. It just is. You can try 1/1 as well, that's decent, but still a bit more internal cook. I dunno how or why that build up there is the 1/1 with the S arm, I rarely run it like that... I fixed it in the Muffin Top thread.
I'm going to get the reinforcement warhawk when t comes out on the 21st. I like that center torso energy slot. It will make my Gauss Vomit that much more powerful.
Wait, are you confusing your quirks? The A-arms have a 5% Energy cooldown quirk each, which means that you can fire 10% faster with both of them, which seems to me would be even hotter. The Prime-arms and S-arms have 5% Heat Reduction quirks.
ugh................... yes backwards use the S[prime] arms or 1/1 S/A......... i should pay more attention instead of multitasking lemme fix this i just know i have it right in mechlab k fixed - long story short that build above the "A" left arm should be "Prime" (for some reason i thought the S right arm should be A, derp)........ that's the 1/1 subv. above.................. anyways it's fixed on the build thread, gg
The Nova gets a quirk pass tomorrow. You might want to wait until then before planning appropriate omni pods.
