CLOSED Rotatable images?

Hey Michael,

Can Xenforo support plugins for images that you can rotate and spin as you wish? It'd be a cool feature for people wanting to get a look on paint schemes or just how a mech looks, while still just surfing.

I have no idea how difficult it is to create such things or if a plugin exists but, might be a nice idea to add to the cool features list for the future? We would certainly be the only MWO oriented forum with that feature that I have seen.

 

I'm not sure I follow you. Are you talking about three dimensional images and a java plugin that allows it?

I have no idea if you can use the Mechlab to rotate a mech, taking X screenshots and using that as foundation.

 

Absolutely, that's why I said future. Besides, i have no idea what plugins are available, how difficult or if they cost money. Doesn't cost a thing to mention an idea though it may stay as an idea.

 

I have to agree. While it would be really cool it would be dependent upon PGI supplying images or us gathering images that could be used in this manner. Money better spent elsewhere. We are currently negotiating with a programmer to bring down his $800.00 USD price on the custom Ratings script to be a little more within the realm of a hobby site.

No, I already told him that 800 was far too much for us. We paid what? $100? $150 for the one on SMF? He is thinking it over and has been for the last couple of days. I will prod him later this week to see what he feels he can do.
