I suspect that having an xl in this mech will make no difference. Also I think this design can be improved upon. LLs exchanged for ERLL's or Drop the SSRMS to echange the LL's for (ER)PPC's Variant A : changes things up a little, ERLL's and SRM$'s being the order of the day
Yeah pretty much. however I believe that with the XL325 you have the opportunity to actually do something meaningfull with this pos. I'll be posting some variations on this theme later ( when I'm not at work)
You could replace the SSRMs by SRM4(s) for more Close Range Punch! Or simply drop them for a larger Engine/extra Cool Efficiency plus upgrading the LLas to ERLLas for more Range.
Yeah I definitely like the ERLLas a lot more now with the PPC nerfs. Still lets you effectively get damage on targets from range, harder to get full damage but easier to get some damage on there. They do seem to work pretty well on the Orion so far. ERLLas for stripping off some armor, Gauss to blast into their squishy innards. I like the last build the most on here. Check out my build Long Range Support. Similar ideas, except I give up the SRM/SSRMs for some LRMs. Seems to really help with forcing enemies to get their heads down or take a decent pounding, either of which is good for you, since if they move, you can get a better firing position and if they don't... free damage!
