so basically turn it into a boat. ML's and MG's give you a little bit of defensive ability. disclaimer: I'm at work so this was thrown together, but it's pretty much there. plus I need to test the lrm20+lrm10 combo, but I think it fires in 1 volley, 2xlrm15 fires in 2 volleys ( 25+5)
Yeah I would go more in Blagg's direction with this as well. Since you are essentially only fighting at long range, the standard engine isn't really necessary. You can easily get away with a 300-325xl on this and have the right mobility for staying in the back lines. This frees up some space for a long range support weapon to go along with your mighty LRM fire, AC5/UAC5, ERPPC/ERLLas, etc.
ok see where you guys are going with this, My issue with the uac5, sure it give an additional long range punch, but it requires line of sight which exposes you in ways I don't like. Additionally when the lights swarm you're in trouble, and 1 ML wont cut it. so how about this instead: LL's give damage at a decent range, and are useful against those swarming lights. http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=97&l=feaf2f640d66c01e18c133f584e0372800371136 note: actually I'd tweak this a little, I don't think you need the speed from the 350 in a lurm boat...... http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=97&l=815691b57721fff203284989d5f8eb8d329a9d37 long range, useful against lights, whats not to like.........
Enemy mechs will find a LOS on you, even if you are an LRM boat. you may as well have something to hit them back with, in addition to your LRMS.
personally I'd ditch the tag to have 2 energy weapons, also I'd rather go with 2LL's or LB10X+2ML's than UAC5. personal preference though. I'm currently running in the mk2. of this -> http://www.mechspecs.com/forum/index.php?topic=3478.0
