During production of the "Orion Benefactors Breakdown" video I opted to keep things nice and simple. I saw there are other LBX builds out there but they combine all manner of different short range weaponry from adding medium lasers to SRMs and even some with SSRMs. For a Skirmisher build I wanted to be able to move in quick, not have to wait for a lock, fire what I want on my "joust" and then move out without having to worry about my back being blown out. I accomplished this, surprisingly, with the Protector chassis. Sure this isn't some super high alpha damage build that pwnz everything under the sun but if you play it right you can rack up impressive scores. The key to utilizing this mech is... well... it is in the Benefactors video
You need to move the DHS out of the engine to pad out the empty spaces. You have a lot of exposure in the torso that you can reduce by getting rid of those slots.
well then... Concerning the build, I wouldn't want 3 LLas with only 14 DHS after playing with my 3ERLLas KTO for a long time now. I'd consider dropping to an XL350, drop 1/2 ton of armor in the legs, and strap on 2 more DHS. Or you can keep the armor and pick up AMS. Whichever is more important to you. You're only losing 2 KPH regardless.
