This is my first Mech Build Post and I wanted to see what you guys thought. Though in game my firepower with this build is 33 and smurfy's has it at 28.10, and my heat efficiency in the mech lab shows as 1.19 I'm a little math stupid so I'm not sure if that's 34% or not, doesn't seem so but whatever. PROTECTOR Basically I thought to poke at them from range with the ERLL and UAC5, then use other weapons as I close in. Most importantly, my idea was to get the biggest engine I could shoehorn in. I like to be tanky, but I also like speed. I tried to find a good balance. I've been playing a while and using smurfy's sparingly. I mostly use builds that you guys suggest here and they've worked great for me. I really like the Orion so I wanted to try a build on my own. EDIT: Revised Version PROTECTOR
Sane? Not very The Artemis was on there and I didn't take it off. I'm flirting with removing the MG all together and putting in an SRM 4. I thought I'd use the MG more than I do with this mech, but it really doesn't serve me much of a purpose like it does on my other MG mechs. I will try an move the ammo around a bit, but surprisingly, I haven't had an ammo explosion yet since I've been playing this mech (about ten matches). Other than the SRM 2 and the clumped ammo, any other issues with this build? EDIT: I removed the SRM 2, the MG and moved the ammo to the legs, I put a SRM 4 +A and maxed out the armor, would that be a better choice? Also, if I removed the Artemis completely, I can squeeze a SRM 6 in there or an LRM 5.
not really, the MG is kina there for looks. BAP is not necessary, cooling is ok, engine is a STD, armor value's are good. The issues that are there can be easily fixed.
