I saw that nobody else has posted this, so I thought I would just in case nobody has seen it yet. It's pleasant to hear that UI 2.0 reworks and add ons will be added, but less so to hear that it will be added post Feb 4th patch. Also funny how they haven't gotten the numbers done on clans. They best hurry up if they want people to end up buying the clan pack. What are your thoughts on this?

I get excited when I see a new command chair. Then I get frustrated because there are no updates for most things. Then I get angry because the things they do provide new info on make me have even less faith in them.

At it's heart, it's a good game that PGI-driven logic tries to ruin. There is no other explanation for the incompetence.

The part about the matchmaker being a-ok shows the blatant stupidity. People aren't even necessarily complaining about ELO swings (besides the MWO-gods who are a victim of their own success, which is understandable, but not actually fixable by the MM)... they're complaining about how they HAD to have made a change in the last few weeks to move from 'finding individuals with a similar ELO range to play each other' to 'find an average ELO range across the team'. Yes, Paul's post is probably correct in that the average team ELO-score is very close, but the variance in individual players has to be MASSIVE.

I'll even be fair to myself and say I'm the worst 'slightly above average' player when playing high ELOs and I'm certainly dropping their average to get to a close avg team score, but when I'm thrown in with complete morons to boost THEIR score, it's ABSURD. If it's just 1 game out of 10, okay fine, it happens, when it's 3 out of 5 though... fucking painful.

I'm not even talking about stomps; that happens even if you play with 23 other people with the exact same Elo as you if you make bad decisions and somehow a snowball effect occurs or tonnage mismatches (or they focus fire to put mechs down while your team cripples a lot of them, but doesn't actually kill)... I'm talking about 7 out 12 people on your team doing less than 100 dmg and when you spec them they're just... retarded or brand new and have ZERO idea what they're doing because of no tutorials/guides (ie, ppcs < 90m, ML's > 800m, not understanding torso vs arm reticules, etc... I'm not even talking about strategy or situational awareness, I'm talking about knowing basic game mechanics).

Edit: and the whole Smurfy-View not being there... ugh, people complained about that in October so it's not like brand new info that just came out last week...
