Victor's bitches. Speed, armor, weapon power, JJ, XL friendly...the list goes on. But if they didnt exist id vote centurion.
The Victor is cool and is a very agile Assault. What i dont find good is the strange mix of Missile pods
Dragon. It looks cool, its fast and agile and somehow I'm performing the best in it. The Flame is an awesome mech and I would suggest it to every new player. But maybe the Orion or the Thunderbolt will beat the Dragon as my favourite chassis.
Jenner Jaggermech (Pre Heat Threshold) I really enjoyed my time with the Awesome line, with the 9M toping my chart of stats/fun - but that was before the SRM nerf this spring.
Highlander, specifically the Heavy Metal. I was waiting for what seems like decades for a Highlander as I knew it was going to be my main ride. I then giggled like a school girl when the first Highlander I could get was a hero mech. I damn near did a little dance when I heard music at a kill, and still nearly do. I love the weapon lay out, and the versatility of it. 455 matches in: 1.25 W/L (I PUG a lot) 2.02 KDR (I'm still taking some bastards with me) 4030 damage per hour. with 1 Day 17 hours in the seat. You will pry that mech out of my cold dead fingers, even with my hobby of being a 'test pilot' I still find time to rock the Heavy Metal.
I actually went to vote for Vics at first, then, rethought. I just can't pass up a Jenner. 150kph, strongest weapon platform in that weight/speed and Jets to fly? I can't deny it's strength. After a JR7-F? VTR-8B ALL DAY, BABY!
For me right now it's the Catapult. I own and have mastered each model except for the new A1 Champion. I might even buy the A1 Champion eventually just to have the whole series if I can settle on a build I really like. On paper I really like the Cataphract. If I decided to do another heavy mech series this one will be it. Of course this is all subject to change depending on new models and whatnot.
I'd have to say the Victor. I am a predominantely light pilot and I first wanted to go for one of the lights, as I always put the biggest reasonable engine in any mech. With my Victor though, I've found a new love for heavier mechs. It's mobile, pretty fast for an assault at 79, has jumpjets, and has a reasonable damage output. And weapons on arms.
I love my Heavy Metal. VTR-9K is a very strong contender and the same is true for both JR7-F and CTF-3D. This vote might get a better -or at least more interesting- result if everybody would be granted two votes instead of one.
Personally overall I think Highlanders are the best Mech in the current game. Almost as tough as an atlas with MUCH greater mobility and speed. My damage per hour is 4337.07 with the HGN-733C. I love this thing
Well Blagg, the Atlas is one of my favorites and I do have respectable scores in them. It's just that I do better in the Ilya chainsaw which is where I voted. ATLAS AS7-D 325 matches, 179 won, 145 lost. 264 kills and 193 deaths. 3797 dmg/h. ATLAS AS7-D-DC 116 matches, 62 won, 54 lost. 86 kills and 70 deaths. 3708 dmg/h. ATLAS AS7-RS 59 matches, 29 won, 30 lost. 29 kills and 34 deaths. 3003 dmg/h. ATLAS AS7-K 107 matches, 55 won, 52 lost. 57 kills and 70 deaths. 3752 dmg/h. The RS is my bane really, can't do well with it. The K is way better for me but still not quite up to the same as my D and DC. And no, I don't care really about KDR or W/L or DMG/H but it is a way of measuring effectiveness, especially since I don't bother ingame about that at any rate. Edit: I had to recalculate after Blarg asked cause it seemed a real low number. It was not 1041 but 3003 dmg/h with the RS.
Thanks for the Q, I double checked my math and I must have done something weird there. I was doing too many things at the same time. Higher dmg/h but the w/l and kd is the same. The reason is probably I didn't find a good RS build I enjoyed. The K I have a nice build for but I think it suffers from pugging too much which the D and DC certainly does not. I have played literally hundreds of matches with the D and DC with lancemates. The RS and K has been pugging a lot more and if you are without lancemates in a Atlas, it can go downhill real quick.
