Great idea. Unfortunately I won't be partaking. My personal salute to the poor girl and her family is that while I have it I will never drive it. For me it is a memorial for lost little girl not a march for me to drive. To respect the event though I just won't sully it by driving at all. I'll take the day off to spend time with my own little girl.

 

Now that I'm home and able to get online banking to work after my vacation - I've pitched in my 10$, it's getting close to 70k now!

 

I am using this as my main jenner now. This is more like a really special champion mech, and I think everyone with a Jenner D should run this instead, playing and running this in her name would be a good thing.

Well, there can be people with multiple accounts, and therre can be people not buying this jenner. But I am sure that a huge portion of active accounts would be buying. So yeah, there is actually quite some people playing this game.

Especially interesting since this game is unlike other big titles in that it is rather focused on a more specific audience.

Gungho kids probably would not like this, and seriously in the current form this is not too n00b friendly, especially to those who have never played any mechwarrior games. Hey, that is why we have mechspecs discussing builds and things, right?

So I guess we are having a good solid group of players now. Problem is that if this number is good enough for continuous growth and what not. Remember that this games need people burning money for MC as a form of payment. And not every regular player would pay, not to mention the various irregular players. This event is a special case that would attract normally "unpaying" players to pay up.

 

Anyone else notice a strange alarm sound going while you run this mech?

Happens from the time I power up, every time. It's very faint, but, I always play with a headset and it's noticeable. And only in this mech.

 

I think we need a new set of audio effects...

I have to say I'm overwhelmed. Who would have thought, that those who enjoy playing with big metal stompy robots, would have such hearts of gold! Certainly not PGI! Even they, never expected to reach goals such as this.

Fun Fact: MechWarriors across the galaxy have donated roughly 17,229,200 MC! Bet PGI wishes they could have gotten a cut out of that, hehe. (using present total of $90,680 and using MC/$ value between the two lowest packages.)
