LOL they are a little late on this one since someone from KONG or somewhere released photos of this thing from in-game assets like 2 nights ago. Better late than never I suppose I'm surprised there isn't more QQ because of the Orion not being released in order; I understand why the Flea isn't out (MASC would lagshield things). Still, they did need something in the 55 ton range and this fills it. The artwork looks waaaaaaaaaaay better than the in-game model from what was leaked on Reddit. I also look at this mech and think "This is the Commandos older, slower, larger hit boxed brother".
Yeah, I saw the post on NGNG calling out the Kintaro a cpl of days back too. So, a medium with missile capabilities. Wonder how this will standout from the Trebuchet. Edit: A user over on NGNG claims this to be the stats (unconfirmed) of the Golden Boy hero and the two variants.
It is just sad that Lights get shafted, again... I am kinda assuming the Flea won't come up as the Locust will fill the 20 Ton gap we have with Lights. PGI caters too much to Heavies and Assaults :/ And I kinda have to agree, the last few Mechs, Kintaro, Quickdraw, Viktor... they look very, very similiar
Guys, lights didn't get forgotten about! The Flea has been pushed back indefinitely because of MASC. Anything moving faster than about 152kph right now causes the lag shield to re-emerge its ugly head. The Flea moves at what? 180 something kph? Faster? Lag shields all over again. Until PGI fix the net code we won't see anything faster than what we have.
I can understand it when they say they have coding problems with MASC... then why not release a different Light until then? We had two rotations missing the Lights so far. Why not put in a Mongoose? Firefly? Javelin? Valkyrie? (I actually poked Sarna for Lights which offer a bit of variety to what the current Lights offer) I mean, if they have a sort of rotation going, they have a few drafts for other Lights which could have been used instead of delaying the Flea over and over? I think my main beef is simply the fact that PGI is very bad when it comes to information delivery. I don't mind waiting, but I would like to be told "until we can figure MASC out, no other Lights as we have nothing planned apart from Flea and Locust" or "We were so surprised by MASC we have no backup Lights" etc... in total, PGI's information delivery is backwards and always late... and I stop here before I derail the thread further.
Could be interesting. Nice to fill that weight class... We'll see what variants they give us. If they stick to timeline, it may be a bit boring. Just a smaller Quickdraw without JJ...
Though the design is not that special imo (and as has been said, NO LIGHTS :'C), I really like the amount of missile slots this thing carries around.
If the Goldenboy standard setup proves to be true, it is one helluva loadout. 26 SRM missiles for Alpha with three MPLAS. That's a serious Medium mech.
looks like a smaller Brother of the Quickdraw to me (without JJs). And the Quickdraw is not my favorite Mech... maybe because no Variant has a ballistic slot for more versatile Weaponsetups. Blagg
