I agree that blowouts (for either side) aren't as fun as the close games, but I did want to post this (basically) perfect match. Why? Because I came this close to screwing it up for the team:
DUDE Y U USE PINK OH GOD IT HURTZ ME EYEZ OH GOD OH NOZ IT FEELZ LIKE GETTING ROUNDHOUSE KICK IN MY EYEZ BY FLUTTERSHY!! But ouch that is a one sided match.
My desktop is set to the default changing background / theme, and it happened to be on the pink theme at the time. And I just noticed that the guy in the 3D got 1 Kill and 3 Assists from dealing 23 damage.

Now this is a perfect close Game! The enemy-team had more points but the last dudes succeeded to take theta.. damn was i excited
Well, wasn't your typical Kintaro XL360 and 2 LLas. Still, my heart was racing with all the pressure. I was in pure hard-core mode. Something I hadn't felt since my days in CS 1.6 scrims The Cat was all SRMs and crit CT. Only took 2 alphas to splode. The Atlas was slow, but very fresh with many MLas, AC 20, and an LRM. Just kept my distance at 600-800m putting each volley into his CT with the Adv. Zoom helping a ton. Run away, repeat. The Spider was an ERPPC build which I was really worried about. I just never stopped moving so he would have a hard time hitting me, seemed to work well. Once the Sauron fell lifeless into Mordor I chased after Shelob to end the journey. The XL 360 allowed me to easily hunt my prey. Legged him, got behind him and ripped out a rear torso.
I was in a perfect game yesterday, here's what happened. Assault, on Frozen City Night with a full lance of my friends on Mumble. Two were riding laserboat BJ1X, I was in a LRM Hawk (2D2 with quad LRM5's) and a Firebrand classic dual AC20 with a cpl of MLAS. The battle got tight around the upper part above where Theta is, we all got a kill but we were loosing ground and mechs, soon it was only me and half a team of blues. I withdrew towards the Kappa area, but the enemy team had momentum and rolled over our assault and killing me. The only mech we had left was a BJ with AC20 and two MLAS, hiding in the canyon, apparently disconnected. The enemy had a Highlander and onearmed Jaeger, both marching for base. The chat is alive with our team venting their displeasure at the AFK pilot who suddenly comes back, apologizes for having to take a phonecall and promptly dispatched both enemies with such ease it was hilarious to see. That was a complete turnaround, so unexpected and all the more sweet for the certain defeat becoming a surprising victory!
It was a rotten night. I wasn't playing well, and had gotten routed on three out of the last four drops. We drop into Forest Colony on the north west ridge, me in my Firebrand ST300 2 AC/5 4 ML with full armor... I call him BOOM BOOM!! hear: The whole match goes bad for us from the start, and before we know it it we are at 2 to 8 odds, me and a jenner pilot I had never dropped with against 8..... Gotta love those Jenner pilots, by the way, best asset in the game when they know what they are doing. So we go to work. The opposition has 8 mechs, but they are somewhat split up hunting us. Strategy?... Jenner dude scouts and draws each enemy mech my way. I unload center torso while Jenner swings around and punches into the back. One by one the odds quickly drop to 2 to 3 and then things start to go bad. My Jenner buddy gets legged  engaging a FB and a Hunchie 4SP at our base up the ridge when I get the call for help, So I start for the ridge and meet up with a chainsaw Murry.... he must have been cored, because I Alpha'd into his CT and he dropped. I get the call that my Jenner partner is down and I am on my own... 1 to 2. Normally I would feel like it was over.... I'm not the greatest pilot, but after the terror that me and our.... scout had wrought I felt like a MechWarrior GOD! In actuality I got soooo lucky, because for some reason the Hunchie came down to meet me while the FB hung back.... I found out later that he was stomping over my fallen teammates mech in victory...... Alpha in the CT, the hunchie falls and I am almost to our base. I go to chain on my AC's hoping to take advantage of the cockpit shake, and start to unload as the FB turns towards me... he got off one Alpha that went into my leg.. and I unloaded all 4 ML's into his CT while my AC's BOOM BOOMED! Done! Congrats from all my team mates & "SkiDog, that was Uber Maximus" from my Jenner buddy. Best match I ever had, but it's really the Jenner pilot that made the difference.... It's amazing what even a bad MechWarrior can do with just a little teamwork
Last night our side launched with 2 men down, and one lance threw themselves at the enemy like madmen and died. We were outmanned, outgunned and I was in a brand new assault 'mech with zero efficiencies. The 6 of us that remained fought like the devil himself was after us. I was the last man standing, and got surrounded by the enemy's remaining lance of mostly dead assault 'mechs. It was a hell of a fight.
