The Gauss is a bit tricky but it works reasonably well for me with the LLs. I've not been seeing so much missile spam of late so I hardly even noticed the lack of ams when running escort to the assaults.
I've been running this same basic build, except with Xl 305,ERLL's, and BAP. Best loadout I've used for the VA yet. And I've tried most of them that didn't require one of the more expensive XL engines.
