Interesting! I was personally considering something like this: but an UAC5 works well at long range pinging too and is less volatile next to an XL engine. This is how I'd assign the build in the OP:
CASE wont protect that ammo in the RT from destroying your XL if the ammo gets CRIT. CASE will protect your RT from being detroyed if you put all the ammo the RA however. I usually dont bother.
Good build. I moved some ammo around and also went with an AC/10 for the gun as well. Lots of fun to play and great for suppression. Not super deadly though. 4/5
