This is obviously a modification of Michael's "Grimm skirmisher" for the Protector, give him credit for the inspiration.

It's fast and pack a decent fire-power, it might be the funniest Orion I tested. Still, it's an Orion, it's in my opinion not the most comfortable mech to pilot.
It's a medium range support mech, it can't brawl and take a beating, but can deal a fair amount of damage.

    Random comments about the build:

1/ I went for XL350 instead of 360. It's a minor speed downgrade and it frees 1.5t for more DHS

2/ it's kind of hot right now, but once the basic perks doubled, I might consider using ERLLas. Or at least a mixed system.

3/ I chosed the left arm for the two LL, so there is no "weak side". But building a more lateralized mech by mounting them on the right arm is a valid option.

4/ the same build can be done on the ON1-M, you only won't have the choice of the "strong arm" (it also cost four more millions c-bill).

5/ building it on the protector forces you to mount one LLas on the torso. Personnally, I like to have all my lasers on the arm, to avoid convergence problem.

6/ I never ran out of ammo and 3 tons might feel too many. But the LBX is kinda the cool weapon here, the one I'll spam at wil, I don't want to be limited on its use.
But you can trade one ton for a 18th DHS.

7/ contrary to Michael I place most of my armor on the front. And even like that I mostly die from the front.

    Pros:
    - good mix of precise damage to burn the armor, and shotgun to crit
    - fast enough for a 75t

    Cons:
    - weird Orion hitbox
    - XL engine

    STD variant:

what opinions do you have about a STD engine variant with this weapon loadout.

    Good question.
If you want to keep the same amount of DHS it gives you a STD280, for a speed of 66.5kph once speed tweak unlocked (-20% speed, it's not negligible).

First post updated with the STD variant.

You know what, I was running the PT with Grimm's Variant so here is my 2 cbills.
    1) The way you arm the LLas on the arms actually give it more mobility when it comes to aiming.
    2) XL is still ok, you do need the speed, and definitely the DHS, which I think somewhere 16-18 is a good number for a 3x LLas build, depending on how you use it.

Still a toss up between LBX10 or AC10, each to their own though.

The STD version is respectable enough, it's still an engine downgrade from stock, but it's comparable after speed boost. My biggest concern about the STD version is that it totally relegates you to an assault escort.

I'm still left feeling that the Dragon (especially the Flame) can pull off this build, but with more style speed

    3x LLas and LBX

Here is another viable version though, a difference in weaponary.

With more style I'm sure, but I seriously doubt a Dragon could have both the same speed and heat-efficiency.
(enileph's second build is interesting though)

Anyway, first post updated with a nice gameplay video :)
