Was in a match tonight derping around on my VA build and was having a great match... Until I came upon a Thunderbolt... 3 Full Alphas just disappeared into no where from point blank range against him (4x SRM4, AC20). Now I know there are some hit detection problems with SRMs but you would think 1 would register out of 48 missiles from 10 yards away and that doesn't explain the AC20 shots. In 3 full alphas; instead of 3 AC20 + 48 missiles and 6 MLs worth of damage I did 6 MLs worth because not once in those 3 alphas AT POINT BLANK RANGE did an AC or SRM register. Check out the picture below. This was just one of the Alphas. Yes, yes I know I am targeting the YLW lol with that kind of firepower I was certain I would 2 or 3 volley this guy (like when I two shot a full health Jager and 3 shot the Viktor 2 minutes earlier)...boy was I wrong. Immediately after this I checked both our pings and both of us were
Not sure if this is a weapon hit detection problem or a Thunderbolt hit detection problem. I was able to 2 volley a Jager and 3 volley a full health Viktor with no problems of missing hits it was just this one guy and no other mechs that I shot at. :whacko:
Well guess that answers that question. Just spoke to Tom and he says that PGI won't LET him fix the SRMs...wonderful.
