Why is it on some mechs I get in to a match do X damage and get Y kills and we steamroll the other team match after match...then I get into ANOTHER mech do the exact same damage and kills and get steamrolled every match...am I missing something here?
Are they same mechs of the same weight class? The class mech you take can also determine your ELO. You might have a low ELO with one mech (for instance a Jenner) and a higher ELO in a Centurion. The higher the ELO the more skilled players you play against.
If ELO goes by mech weight I have no idea where I stand in the way of ELO. It would stand to reason though that since I perform equally in my assault and my heavy I should have roughly the same ELO though shouldn't it? And if I have a crappy ELO shouldnt that HELP rather than hurt my chances of winning. Yet in the mech I am by far best in and would assume I have a higher ELO we win more than we lose but in the Assault which I do okay in and would think I have a lower elo I get roflstomped every match.
Currently ELO isn't based so much on YOUR performance more than it is based upon your Wins and Losses while pugging. If your team wins and you do shitty? You still get more ELO If your team loses, regardless of whether you ripped face or not, you get less ELO.
So, to reap more cbills by fighting in lower ELO you will have to lose more in a class? I should play more conquest and just kill stuff in it then. More kills and things equal more cbills, but killing will not affact W/L as much in Conquest.
