Welp, the good news is that they finally boost the 100-tonner mobility, so taking mobility quirks is viable now. The bad news is that PGI are touching their number dials with a jackhammer again.
I'm very surprised by the Artemis nerf. Also surprised that MGs were about the only weapon that didn't get worse. I've still got a feeling that ghost heat for MGs is coming. But now it's probably not until after the Piranha is released.
Holy moly... This patch will hit me (and the actual meta) like a hammer. Heat Scale penalties are now linked with UAC/5s. (no more 6x/5xAC5 Mauler) Heat Scale penalties are now linked with AC/5s. (no more Kodiaks / direwolves with 6x (or even more) UAC5 The Spread Bonus received from the Artemis Upgrade has been reduced. (this is also a slight nerf to SRM+A) The maximum angle at which Missile Lock can be retained after the reticle has drifted from the locked opponent has been reduced. Weapon Lock will now be lost at 25 degrees, instead of the previous 45 degree value. (this is actually a nerf to those SSRM boat who used to jump very high while shooting down to the locked target) Increased ATM spread (I hope it they will focus less on legs and behave even more like LRMs) Lasers: the nerf hammer hit mostly small and medium lasers, while leaving untouched the Large lasers (standard, ER and pulse). The actual reason makes sense: in a few words, Medium Lasers and Small Lasers were the bread and butter of ANY build due to the high DPS and lower tonnage... Basically the only drawback was the heat generation. This is a indirect buff to ACs and a strike to the current meta: most top-level FP groups used to run vomit lasers build in ANY map (even hot maps like Tourmaline or Terra Terma). This is also an indirect buff to LPL (at least IS side): if was not for the slight increase to DPS and lower duration, there was no reason at all to pick a LPL over 2xERML (same damage, -5m range). Even the Mech quirks will hit me... GHR-5H has received a reduction to its Energy Heat Gen Quirk (Oh well, at least I have the 5P with +10% range) GHR-5P Energy Range Quirk has been removed (FFFFFFUUUUUUUU... I even bought a 2nd variant to fit ERLL on it!)

They 'responded to the overwhelming response of the community' ... and probably didn't do testing, judging from the severity of the number changes. I think because of the small company and the low appeal of the PBE server, that they do their testing with live patches.
