try the uac2 2-3 games and you'll switch to energy nova right away

i ran similar (with more lasers) on a summoner and the ac2 damage is so low you do more with 4 MG's on the nova

 

There's a RT omni-pod with an energy and an AMS hard point.

 

Ah, crud, you're right. That pod doesn't have an energy hard point. My bad.

 

Those UAC2s burn thru ALOT of ammo very quickly, I put them on one of my variants and it was great at long range suppressive fire but that was about it. Once guys start getting into brawling range they don't do too much unfortunately.
