not connected

So I had a issue with my internet a few days ago and now I have fixed it. Now when i try to open MWO I get a Error that says "There was an error while testing your internet connection- no connection was detected." Has anybody had this happen and how did you overcome this issue?

 

I've never even heard of anyone having that issue before.

I know that I am having problems getting to the MechSpecs site (very VERY slow, or it times out) but I can access everything else including the game.

 

I have tried uninstall reinstall and still the same thing....Makes me very sad right now

 

What did you do to "fix" your internet?

 

yeah my wife got this Sprint airave thing to boost our cell phone calls and it messed with thing. So I called up my buddy in IT and we got it working right again. I wonder if this problem is because I was in-game when it happen? I don't know man just wanted to get in a few games before the lady had her honey do list. The thing that gets me is that I get no option to test if I have a internet connection. I can't even get to the play option or when you need to patch screen...if that makes sense.

Edit: sorry "fix" well I put the ethernet cords in the way they should have been set up in the first place and did some changes by connecting to my CPU. Most of it I really couldn't tell you cause I'm just not that good with that stuff. Beginner at best

 

So after a week I got a reply YAY! I hope this fixes my problem, this is what they said to me. I'll link it so maybe it can same someone some time

Do you have that issue only when trying to start MWO?
Many issues can be caused by corrupted files. Running the repair tool will repair these issues:
Please download the repair tool from here: http://patcher.mwomercs.com/repair/MWORepairTool.exe
Run it from any location, it will detect your MechWarrior Online installation and repair any corruption.
Once the repair tool has completed its work, please run the game and tell me if the issue persists.

so after all that it still didn't work now i have to wait till Monday

 

Finally got mwo to work! Only after about two weeks and support couldn't figure it out. It was a issue with Internet Explore and how the game test your internet. After I cleaned that up the game works fine. Just had to reset IE back to default and used hitman pro to clean up virus that was messing up mwo's testing.

 

Try shutting down the entire internet and restart!
Too bad you can't do that with a congress.
